Nope, I’m actually taking less heart/blood pressure medication than I was when I got out of the hospital. My blood pressure is averaging around 125/79 but every once in a while it drops really low… the shrooms would be the only variable in my life, but my blood pressure drops very low on occasion. If I hadn’t experienced low blood pressure in the past, I would definitely consider the shrooms as the culprit but I don’t think that or food is what’s happening? i’m feeling fine now but I’ve been resting all afternoon.

Sounds like it is fine you are still within the Blood pressure normal reading see chart above. But it is concerning how and when it is happening. I would see your doctor and discuss this with him or her . Could be a few easy tests they can do, have you ever worn a holter heart monitor that watches and takes BP reading over 24 hrs or sometimes more. Give the Doc some idea of what and when it is happening.

I see my nephrologist Tuesday, the cause of my high blood pressure was kidney related and not heart related I was told after getting out of the emergency room...I asked my nephrologist about a heart doc and he said my heart was fine, it's the other stuff that is causing it...my resting bp is usually around 120/80 give or take...right now it's 117 /53@61bpm...

I forget may have asked do you have a good BP cuff/machine?
You may want to take it to the doctors with you so you can take it in his office to compare to what his is getting.
Some of the models sold are not that accurate.

my cuff is a pretty good one, wasn't cheap...I bought it about 10 years ago when Linda got cancer...my readings are usually a little lower that when I have it read at the doctors office, white coat syndrome I'm told...a year ago bp was high, now it's low...I ain't right...once when I was taken to the emergency room my bp was 221/181...the **** hit the fan as soon as that reading was taken...

Not going to like my response.
I feel you need to be seen and find out if there may be an underlying cause. Rule it out and if nothing you will have peace of mind.

Boo you should go get med help if it drops very low again
You are correct about Liver, I am not aware of what is going on with yours other than the cancer , but yep liver will do what you are complaining about.
Liver disease can cause low blood pressure in several ways:

  • Reduced blood flow: Liver disease can cause a reduction in blood flow to the organs, including the heart, which can lead to low blood pressure.
  • Fluid retention: Liver disease can cause fluid to build up in the body, which can lead to low blood pressure.
  • Medications: Some medications used to treat liver disease can cause low blood pressure as a side effect.

the underlying cause is the kidneys from what I recall being told...I had an EKG and other heart related tests and it came back clean...doc insists the BP is kidney related...I've got no problem with doctors testing me but no doctor has figured this out...

If they suspect the Kidneys are the source of the problem what course of treatment did they offer at that time?

Kidney problems can definitely mess with your BP I know this for a fact.

If you want it done right do it yourself! And yes they come out after dark.
