See that stoopit rolled edge of the canteen cup? Click onnit to see the pic. Yeah.
That rolled edge holds the heat more than any other part of the metal. That means you'll still burn your lips while trying to drink your coffee/soup/boiling blood until it gets just about cold.
So GI's cut a section of the rolled edge off so they can drink without burning.
You needed to know.

Been a windy cold day here. I can take the wind and take the cold as well but both at the same time is a real pain in the azz. Time for a nice hot jacuzzi and a bowl. All you boys and girls have fun.

Third graders will take it out of you quicker than anything. They told me “ ok these 5 kids are yours, by that time all the kids ran off in different directions. i gathered them up and gave them the rules. It was ok after that. The train ride back to the bus was the best part. Got home earlier than I thought I would. Now it’s me time

It’s not really my favorite thing to do but the third graders are a super sweet age and by the end of the day my two boys and three girls were loving all up on me. We took selfies on the train ride back to the bus and I got hugs from all of them
note to self: toilets in the elementary school are super low to the ground…

Sitting down is dangerous, and getting up is the real chore.
