Nice one! They had already invented electricity by the time I was born, so not many of those around.

Well... to be honest, we did have electricity. For the phone. That had a crank on it, too.

Got another walk in. To windy and the wind was out right cold so Mrs Pute and I walked the South Platte River above the Lake. It is protected by the trees and much more comfortable to walk there.

Didn't see one fish. The Walleye, Rainbows and carp will be up in the river spawning soon. Cold winter so a bit early yet. If you have never seen this it is worth your time. Hundreds of big fish in a foot of water making romance and laying eggs.

We had one of those too. And a Servel gas refrigerator, instead of an ice box like ya'll probably had.

There's a skateboard park where the old ice house used to be. Big ole barn walking distance from the creek. Come winter, they'd start cuttin' out blocks and stackin' 'em in the barn. Once they had it full, they'd take whatever was handy in the way of straw or sawdust and bury 'em. Had ice all summer.

I think he said in the OFC that he ate a small pizzeria.

No bread today, but I did make bagels. Turned out yummy as always. Hard to screw up as many times as I've made 'em but I'm sure I'll find a way.

I've had a request to make English muffins. PITA, but worth it, just time and labor intensive. My girls love 'em, and I do too.

I made them once after eating some really good homemade ones in Portland. They turned out pretty good. Maybe you can share your recipe and I can try them again too
