is this too much ducting ?

is this to much duct as i was just wondering if i had less would it drop the temp more?
i dont want to chop it up if there no point theres no point in 8 bits of duct 2 feet long


fan is 4 inch 187m3/h
600w cool tube 5 inch
light 10/12inch away
grow tent 1.2x1.2x2.0m
temp 82
any advice would be great:)

Good question! This is all speculation, but I think fewer turns in the ducting are better but not sure how big a deal the length is. It looks tight in there (like my box, too :hubba:) but can you just hook the scrubber to the end of the fan and get rid of a turn?

And, I think 4u2 uses aluminum (smooth wall, etc) ducting rather than that hose stuff we're using. I was looking at it at lowes just yesterday. I'm pretty sure that would make it quieter if stealth is an issue for you (like it is for me). And it should increase the air flow through it...

Great thread! I've started thinking about a new (3rd) grow box based on everything I've learned since the second one :)
 
Yes, The amount of bends greatly decreases flow.

I'd concur with Art, Fruity. Mixflo fans are great; not too noisy and move truck loads of air.
