Is This a Good Place To Grow?

cfm is cubic feet per minute. The glass is to contain the heat yes, but it is usually a tempered glass that comes with the light. I don't know how well regular glass would work, you may take the chance of it shattering because of the heat...but I honestly don't know, I've never tried regular glass.

If your going to try to make something, what I did is to buy a 90* attatchment for putting a bend in ducting, and tig welded a plate as a base. I only used like 2 sections of the 90* because of the slope of your reflector. I will see if maybe I can get a pic of it up here, if my kid isn't busy today.

yeah i think i might did the math wrong on my Cfm i only got 60 total that sound right?

so if i just call the company they will be able to help me? will they try and screw me with the price though?

I doubt it, they are a big company what they will probably do is direct you to the nearest distributor to you, or you may be able to buy it direct, you'll just have to call. I would think the price would be pretty much standard. You could also search online hydro suppliers.

yeah im doing that now, do you know how i would go about getting the right flange? would i have to measure the hole?

and also i found a inline fan that was 60cfl. should i get one that has a higher cfl?

I would get a higher cfm, although your space is 60 cubic ft. You may want to pull through a carbon filter in the future, and a little overkill doesn't hurt in venting. Those numbers I gave you were minimums. I have 144 cubic ft, but run 375 cfm, if I remember right. There is also a good chance that once you grow, you'll decide to go with a bigger space the next time...alot of us do. If you do you will not have to make another purchase, and throw that 60 cfm in the corner. You have 1000W light, my thinking is to use that to it's advantage, you could grow more and use the same power in a 4'x4' space. I understand you want to try it in that closet, but I'd be willing to bet that after you get 1 successful grow from that space you will want to upgrade.

As far as the flange you should be able to tell them the type of reflector you have, like if it is the sunsytem 2 or whatever the reflector says on it. I think sunlight supply's attatchements are standard, but not sure. Meaning I think my attatchments would fit on your reflector...but you'll have to talk to them to be sure.

if you can keep your environment ample for that closet and have access to all the required nutes you can possibly get up to a qp per plant. in my rooms i am up to 1lb4oz per 1000w light.

this is good!

sunlight supply does not carry their attatchments??? I find that hard to believe....lol...not calling you a liar!...just I would think they would be all about selling extras.

LOL....Nouvelle I've given up on that...lol...when I see members that have been here longer than me doing posting them...well I decided it aint my job to police the site. I won't click on a live link though...not here...for some reason I have this paranoia that the DEA could put up a link and I click on it, and boom...they find out everything about me...lol...maybe I need to see my shrink???
