I know that direct sunlight is the best. But if you have an area that gets a little direct sunlight for only a few morning hours a day would a plant develop well or at all?

I have a large plant that is in my indoor grow that I am thinking of putting her outside and letting her flower. I dont think I have any other area on my property that I could safely put a plant.

Its in a wooded area on my property and the large pines shade the area most of the day from above,,,

Dude,
I would suggest putting the plant somewhere other than your own property. Find a place that gets full sun:hubba: for max yield.

ya agreed bro your gonna want your plant to get more than a few hours everyday your plant needs atleast 8 hours and like ridgerunner said dont plant on ur property its a bad idea

From indoors to out, the shaded area will be stronger light than she is acustomed to..;) Though they will do best/better with at least 8 hrs of direct sunlight, it is not a requirement. The filtered sun will be sufficient for a healthy plant, but it probably won't reach full potential.

Also, watch putting it right out into the direct sun. I've seen where some don't have that much of a problem, but I always do. The shaded area would be the best for the first week, but once it becomes accustomed to the light, it'll want more.

well i live in a residential area so I dont have anywhere not on my own property to put the plant....

It gets direct sunlight for about 4 hours a day. The rest of the day its filtered overhead by the trees but is not "totally shaded"...its defiantely not fdark in the area,,,,

I figure the trees would provide cover from above being spotted.... Then the location it is noone will be able to "see it" from the ground, even if it gets 5 ft....its already 2.5FT tall, but is LSTD...and is much shorter... I want to untie her and let her go...

If she will yeild more if i leave her under the 600 then I will keep her in the growroom... I just figured because she is so bushy only the top will develop....any truth to this? is this still a bad idea...

If you have at least 4 hours of direct light and a few more of diffused light you should do well. It will not be as good as in direct sun all day but it is less likely to be spotted by rippers or LEO. I grow mostly on my own property as it is easier to control the curious. I just make sure it is out of sight of my house so if the cops spot it I don't have any idea how it got there. Cops around here just pull it up since no one ever knows how it got there. This works well, at least in Canada although apparently things are different in the "land of the Free" (what a joke). The cops here will not stake out a grow to catch the grower unless it involves 100s of plants.
