a celler in the basement,has a 8in. thick top,is 12and a half foot wide and an going to make 10 ft long, there is a 28x28 sq. hole on top in a corner, no outside access without cutting concrete... how would you go bout setting it up? have a 600watt cool tube coming,i seem to e pretty handy so i can construct most anything, just need input for the set up. had rather do hydro,my most concern is the exsaust so see what you folks can come up with... I'm all ears...not really just sayin...thanks all

Step one is getting electricity into it, step two is getting water in AND out as you need to, step three is providing exhaust and intake air. If all you have is a 28-inch access hole it means that all of the utils will have to come in and out of that hole. Nothing like trying to rinse a 20 gallon reservoir when you have no where to put the flush water. And if it is moist at all you will need a dehumidifier down there - and if its dry as a bone you may need a humidifier.

Working through a 28" hole ain't much. My impression would be to need 6"-8" vent tubes - so your hole shrinks to 22" on one dimension. You can move the power and water without getting too much in the way, but I hope you're skinnier than me! (smile)

Show us pics. Maybe someone will see a potential I can't visualize...

make 4 rooms out of it clone room veg room flower 1 room flower 2 room keep rotating crops
first thing clear out everything lol then wash walls floors you name it with
bleach , set up relay box and starting buying ballests your going to need cold air in and exhaust out get a 4 " concrete hole saw cut concrete for air in 2 holes duct in in room low to walls with T's for each room now find on other side of room exhaust out same thing cut 2 hole out
place carbon filter up high in a corner now get orca film inclose all outter sides make making walls in between for rooms etc

heat rises so imo place clone room on other end each room you need to run ducting up high so as cold air is passive and you got power on the exhaust side lots of it to pump all the fresh air in one side of room to other flower rooms should be closet to air inlet sides so there the most chilled rooms

You have plenty of room, I think separate rooms are a good idea, too. Your vegging space can be substantially smaller than your flowering space, probably 1/2. A 600W is good for about 16-18 sq ft. So I would recommend either buying a tent or constructing a 16-18 sq ft room within your space. Where does the 28 x 28 hole in the ceiling go? Can you exhaust through there? If the temps in the cellar are cool, you can probably exhaust back into this space. Being that it is a cellar, it most likely stays a somewhat constant temperature regardless of the season. So what are the ambient temps down there? What does the humidity run?

thats a perfect MAn cave bro....it has a recliner..and a crapper in same room:rofl: well if that was my space I would use the door for intake (cut holes in door.....and exhaust would go out that 28x28 hole in top corner...get ya a roto hammer and put in some anchors for the lights and what not...do you have this room on its own circut ?

Forget the air in, air out. Drop a 100lb CO2 tank or if you have gas supply, hang a CO2 generator. Wall off 3 rooms. One work room/clones, one for veg and one for flower.

whats your budget?

myself and fellow MPer's can provide you with endless setup's that will work. everything will decide on how much u want to spend

first things first. clear the room, but dont throw away those shelves, clean them and keep them. they will come in handy

the 28x28 hole goes nowhere its what used to use to get into the cestern [thang that holds water] it is between the top of the celler and the den [wasa carport] i think i have figured out how to exsaust the air and use the 28x28 for intake kinda duct off some sort of trunk line. if you look real close in #4 pic there is a pipe in the upper right corner might use that for exsaust or could go up through the den in the corner into the attic and out the eve. can make a cabinet to cover the duct muffler in den.[kinda handy] :hubba:

Yeah, that's true. I can spout off info and make a room that will fill garbage cans full of dank. But it will also cost you 20k or so. That might not include your operating costs for 5-6 months before you even get some buddage. That will run into the thousands also. Gotta pay to play

running a bloombox now from BCNL works great just need to expand. thinking of DWC, the THG has got me wanting to do a scrog,want to do a 4x4 or 4x5 not sure yet,.
the budget is not so low but not a millionaire. thinking of makin 3 sections clone , veg, bloom. the air flow is got me a little stumped but i'm sure we can figure something out.

Do you know where the pipe goes? I was thinking some kind of cover for the 28"x28" as well...would need to filter the air going out.

only problem with that hole is where it comes out is right beside the walkway to the back door, remember back door guest are the best ... anyway think it safer to go into yhe attic and out the eve.

Seal the space up tight and run some CO2, like I said above. Easy fix. It's gonna be 20k or so if done right by the time you get your first buds.

you could increase the size of your flower room by cloning and vegging in the same room---you might also consider using that hole in the floor above to pump water out of the space and use gravity to water the plants if you got a spot for the rezzy near the top of the hole
