did you ever try wearing sunglasses when you're lookin at your plants? i always do and been advised by a person who had some damage to his eyes due to constant exposure. after i wore them a couple of times it became annoying if i look at the plants without them so i added my old oakleys to my growing equipment theyr just at the entrance to my growroom. i raise them to my forehead when i'm not lookin at the plants they hold very well theyr for sports they got rubber on their sides, comfy :) but if you get ones that dont hold well when you raise them you'd end up throwin them aside. another benefit is added safety sometimes when workin with a plant under my fluros i hit the lights by mistake and worry they might blow right in my face especially if i got scissors in hand so sunglasses cover my eyes from the glass fragments. i hope they never have to serve to protect me from this though:p these are mine

it depends on if im stickin my head in the room just to grab a plant for watering or watever or if im wanting to gawk  at them :hubba:

Hah, that's funny I wear Spy snowboard/skiing goggles, mostly when I wake up and go check on the room as to not blind myself. Leave em hanging on the doorknob.

I have a pair sitting on the shelf with all my nutes, and eqpt. But I usually don't put them on...like Tact, first thing in the morning I do so I don't shock them out of my sockets...spill my coffee all over myself...lol

never used them in the grow room...my light doesnt hurt my eyes..more like a warm glow...now outside I wear them constantly cant drive without them...

I don't but I also don't look at the light fixture at all, and it does not really bother my eyes. Now if I look up towrd the fixture...well that's a different story.

The only time the light hurts my eyes if if I look at it. I very seldom look at it. I used to go in there and come out somewhat blind for a bit. I must have been looking at the light back then; it never happens anymore.

:D I go to the grow room first thing, the bright light helps me wake up. I am not in the norm. I guess. I've known that for years now.:joint:

Well, we know the light (whatever it is) is not nearly as intense as sunlight. I never wear sunglasses into my growroom and don't really worry about damaging my eyes with the light. If, however, you might break a light and get glass in your eyes, safety glasses might be in order. All my lights are air cooled, so I don't worry about that.

nope don't wear sunglasses. But my eye's are very sensitive to all lights... have migraines that can be triggered very easily by bright light flashes.

But haven't had a problem with my grow lights... but then again I try very hard not to look at them.

polaroid lenses kick arse

Polarized lol. Polaroid is film thats no longer made and yeah they do kick arse. Nothing works better for letting you stare into the water to spot fish.

polarized also are great out on the golf course if you have trouble spotting your little white ball! :)
