i need some advice

Hey, i just got onto this forum because i know that there are alot of smart stoners out thier. I have been growing this plant in my basement for about 6 mounths now. i swithed the light cylce and it started to bud, but its only about a foot, and im scared that the long time effort wont pay off. Its growing in a very small area so i need flouresant lights so it wont get burned. The light cycle is 12 12. I have a 20 inch 3250k light thats about 20 watts. The space i have to grow in is only about 24 inches high. Does anyone out their now what the best small flouresant light is so i can increase my rate of growth, and have a nice yeild? any advice will be strongly apprieciated.

How many sq ft is your area?? and if u really want a nice yield u should consider HPS if thats an option. You want to have 5000 lumens per sq ft of light.

its about 5 or 6 its really small. but yea i cant have any hot lights in their. but i guess i could consider buying two more twenty watt lights maybe that will help my plant grow faster.(if they will fit)

If you have been vegging for 6 months and your lady is only a foot high I would think you need a little more light for sure. Your set up is great for seedlings, but if you want good results a bigger source is your ticket.:watchplant:

20 watts is not enough light unless you are growing in a computer box make sure you have good ventilation and try these. Replace the xx with tt

lol shes buding i switched the light cycle. i put another light in their its flouresant house bulb hopefully she will start growing faster soon.

yea those would be great if i had good ventilation. but they get hot i heard and i think they will just burn.

did u have a good ventilation system and did u have like a guard over the light

Ive used enegy saver bulbs 100w ! they worked for me.
they not hot and they put out more than they use.

I had 3 x 100w in a grow box 1m cube and my babys grew like there was no tomorrow.

Try it might work 4 u!

Well, just so you know. If you continue to flower with the light you have, you can probably expect no more than several grams.

I used a computer fan to cool my space. Watt for watt and lumen for lumen, CFLs put out more heat, cost more to initially purchase, cost more to operate every day, and produce significantly less bud than HPS.

Thanks for all that advice. the net thing over the plants wont harmthem in any way, and will it have any affects on the yeild? because a think i may do that.

All right i got it all set up. I have 2 2000k cfl lights. they output 420 watts of power together, and over 6000 lumans. I already see thicker bud formations. Thanks for all your guys help.
