What is an MV...And an HPA?
MV = Mercury Vapor (Worthless as a plant light. You can't get it close enough to provide proper lumens without roasting your plants.)
HPA = Cleo is the family name of light sources manufactured by Philips for ultra-violet sun tanning applications, and the HPA group is a series of iron-cobalt metal halide lamps within this category. H indicates that the filling is mercury, chemical symbol Hg. P implies that the discharge tube is a high pressure type. A signifies the absence of an outer bulb around the discharge tube, or that any outer bulb is clear with no phosphor coating such that some UV is transmitted. A similar HPM family exists, dosed with alternative halides to shift the UV emission to another part of the spectrum. The pressure is controlled in this lamp such that its output spectrum is a rich source of longwave UV-A radiation, which will quickly provide the desired suntanning effect without producing excessive quantities of the more dangerous UV-B and UV-C radiations.
HPA is also worthless as a grow light. It's great for getting a tan. Just like the MV, it will roast your plant if you put it close enough to do any good as far as lumens go.
Sin inc, you've got to get some real plant lights man. Even if they're free, they aren't doing anything for you except costing you a lot of money on the electric bill.
The HPA will actually harm your plants if you get it close enough to do any good for them in terms of light. Same thing with the MV.
Sorry my friend, growing weed isn't free. You have to spend some money to do it right unless you grow them in the wild, outside.
Good luck to you man.
