:rant: Well,....... I'm very pissed off and frustrated, and theres nothing me or any1 can do about it. Why u might ask because i been dealing with this pain for a better part of 12 years. It came from an eye injury that happened. A rock hit me in the eye and put it out, i waz 15. It'll be 12 years on the 4th of july and still dealing with this EDIT pain. So in jan of 05 i finaly had my eye removed after 10 years of pain(paid for by the lions club, why tooooo expensive for me or my fam) thinking that would stop the pain sence there would be no eye there to cause pain. Thats what the doc had said. WRONG, 2 years later im still have the pain more offten and more painfull then be4. Ive blacked out from the pain, and got nose bleeds. Eye doc said theres nothing more he can do sence there no eye there now. He gave me a referile to a Nuroligist (nerv doc) They say it's my nervs for sure, and gave me some pills thats for the nervs. Take them for 3 months and then come see me. The pill supposed to take 3 months to show they are working..:chillpill: ...Nothing. So now they think it a cluster headaches(more:bs: ), jus take some over the counter pain pills u should be fine. Thats when i got pissed i gotta scrap up $350 to your EDIT for you to tell me that when u said it waz something esle 3mo ago They never worked in the past be4 the surgry so no im not. then he px vicoden, and i told him they jus like takeing over the counter meds to me cause they jus dont work.Then he gave me a Px for vicoden ES 750mg I think these will work cause there stronger take 1 or 2 and rest im like whatever iight and left.Sence my head waz hurting i got the px filled there at the hospital. Now i jus wanted to prove this doc wrong i took 1 and nothing then 2 and nothing (im not a dumb ***, my wife drove me there) sat there in his waiting and told the reception to get my doc for me if he not busy. Well he came adn had nothing to say. I told him He dont know whats wrong steady giveing me these damn vicoden pills. I got atleast7 unfilled Px, and 1 that i had sence the begining of 05 from my last doc collecting dust, still in the walgreens bag.....Why take something that could cause more wrong then good i say???? And dont work atall, i minuswell go get some flintstone chewables. I'll get the same effects........NOTHING.Butta a waste of damn money. AND A DAY OF PAIN :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant:

Sorry about you're injury but it's always good to let things out that's why i never and i don't think i ever will trust a doctor hope there was a cure for your pain

I got my own cure, MASS-AMOUNTS-OF-BUD i dont like man-made meds. They are poisionous and very few of them really work

I feel for you bro, I can't take pills either. None of them do what they are supposed to do. I have quite a collection of 'poison' in my medicine cabinet collecting dust.

Perhaps, if your local law allows it, get a medical recommendation and grow your own meds, I think you will live longer.

just be carefull if you wind up taking Vicodan or any other narcotic pain pill, taking them daily you will become adicted after several months, so be sure you dont take extra and wind up not having enough to last to your next doc app.......docs frown and will cut patients off if they come back for refills to early to often....

I know all about this because I have been in pain management since 1993.....I have severe spinal problems from an injury and after several surgeries there is nothing they can do but keep me on narcotics......I am currently taking 3 80mg oxycontins a day and up to 3 15 mg roxicodone a day for breakthrough pain.......yes I have in the past ran short a week and let me tell ya ..the withdraws are not something I would wish on anyone.....I havent done that in over 5 years and make sure I always have enough to make it each month to see the doc......

I feel sorry for ya...always being in pain is a bitch...I know......my meds dont take all the pain away but they allow me to atleast tollerate it ...I am still able to work thank God......

Just be carefull taking narcotics daily, and after a period of time you will see that they realy arent helping any more...tell your doc...he will up the dose..pain docs understand this......and again I cant stress this to much.....dont take extra and dont give or sell your meds...if they dont work talk to your doc ........because of the way some people abuse these type of drugs, its getting harder and harder to find docs who will give them out....I have no sympathy for anyone who abuses them or sells them.......

I don't know where you live, BF, but if you are anywhere near a large city in the US, you need to go to a pain management clinic. They specialize in treating the type of pain that you describe. They use all sorts of cutting edge technologies such as injecting the culprit nerve with botox to immobilize it or severing the nerve completely, if its one you dont need anymore. I know many people who have gotten their lives back thru clinics like this when their docs have said, "there is nothing more I can do for you". Btw I am in the medical field and these operations are scientifically legit, not some kind of hocus pocus.

You definitely should not be taking narcotics for any long period of time, because you will develop a tolerance and/or addiction. And you should also qualify for med mj if your jurisdiction allows it. Good luck.

Thanx you all, Bubba bear thats y i dont take them. a person can take 1 pill and die, but u gotta smoke 15 pounds in 2hrs to even get a lethal dose of weed in ya system. I've looked in to med mj in IL, u gotta get a doc to write a letter to the state police for that, and i dont know how that'll work sence my doc is in STL Mo.I jus dont have the money to pay for a spicalist,they want like 350 upfront for each visit. The hospital in STL charge you, but they'll never see the money

i also know what its like to be in pain, i had back opp 5 years ago and aint been very good since but my pain killers help a bit. thats why i grow now. any way hope you all get better soon, :aok:

I'm sorry about that man. I get migraines and believe me, they are NOT fun. It's all right behind my eyes and I feel like they are going to pop out of my head. Do you have insurance? Go see the neurologist. They need to do a CT scan to see what is going on in your brain. You can get even a crappy insurance plan for about $50-100 per month, depending on what you can afford. The more you pay per month, the more they cover. It might be worth it, even if it's just while you get your tests and health together. That is the main reason I work, for the insurance. They threw some pills at me, and that's all well and good, but the side-effects and the risk of addiction is not good. Pot is the only thing that helps with the pain and I can't have it legally. I hope you get this checked out soon. Good luck.

does your job offer insurance.......if not there are org's that will help pay or will even buy them for ya....when I got laid off 8 years ago I couldnt afford my oxycontin..$500 bucks for a month supply ..back then I took the 40 mg ones 3 times a day...Perdue has a program I got into and I sent them my script from my doc and every month they sent my meds by fed-x free.....they did this for 2 years till I finaly found a job....its hard to find a job when you take these meds.........

You said you live in IL--are you near Chicago? If so, go to Cook County Medical Center, or whatever county hospital is nearest you. They will treat the 'uninsured' and because they are teaching facilities they are usually up to date with the most current therapies. The only problem with county facilities is that you will usually be seen by a Resident (doc in training) but they report all cases to their attendings and if they can't help you, the attending will step in. You should not be living with so much pain. Good luck to you.

thats what I was gonna suggest if you did live in the usa, there is help out there you just have to look for it.....also if your near a university that trains docs you can get help there also.......dont give up....even if you have to go to an emergancy room..they cant turn you down because you have no insurance or money......or job......ilegals get free help..you should also

im across the river from ST.Louis MO. I been to all the hospitals in the area and they all jus spen 5 maybe 10 min looking at me ask a "Q" and give me a PX. Over at Washington U med center i gotta see the doc there but that untille mid may. Its the last doc i seen. i gotta more then enough time to get the money. I have no clue on how to ask him about med Mj. I found some paper work online about it. I might have to take it with me but i dunno.

if smoking a joint helps ya...just come right out an tell the doc that smoking a joint helps ya more than taking narcotic pain pills.......
seems to me they should be doing things like brain scans....MRI's..cat scans........has anyone told you what is causing the pain....cant they send you to a specialist........there has got to be something that can be done..........

i ve had a ct scan done, came back nothing in early Feb. The same thing they seen is what i shown them cause i got a copy of the ct scan be4 that1. I told them to do an MRI, but they wanted to do a ct. and about the specilalist thats the last person i seen a nurologist(nerv doc) and no1 can tell me anything about y it happens.Sence i got a prystesis it's not comeing from the eye, but it feel like it is. So aint no telling whats going on
