No, the squares are sewn and top stitched on the machine. The only hand work was tying the layers together.

very nice work THG, and very authentic. is this something you do as a hobby for yourself ? extra income, maybe ? or only occasionally for that special friend ? we were just given my grandmothers sewing machine. we have no idea the age of it. it's a motgomery ward model.
