Yeah, you have got to have a frame--IMO, a big quilt is virtually impossible without a frame. This one took me a week. It is a blue jean quilt and it is just tied.

Yeah, it is heavy--I bet it weights 20 lbs (I don't have any scales in my home thought, so I am not really sure).
