I am not surprised.

Its a question of love . I love it more now than growing 36 or 40 plants a month . Lot of work keeping two rooms filled , keeping the one room to fill the both. keeping up on watering ,fert ,ipm, taking clones ,growing them ,harvesting , drying ,cleaning the room ,cleanings the pots, drying . getting rid of it . If I grow 6 plants in various stages that's good for my consumption . Bag appeal is not super important if I am the only consumer/customer. I worked for a bakery family I have known my whole life .The best italian bread. My Honeys niece once asked me if I could gether a job there .I love to bake ,! blah blah.
Really ? When you are baking 60 cakes ,decorating them ,making 250 loaves of bread ,making restaurant orders all at 2am itsa little different.
Love is right. folks don't think of washing dirty pots as part of the growing gig but someone that truly loves growing the canna plant plans all these dirty details out in their daily schedule.
would have loved to work in a bakery or as a chef. Could have easily gone that route even tho it’s also hard work but very satisfying. I guess I got hooked on hydraulic oil early taking me in a different direction… now that I’m retired, I can do my baking and kitchen chef stuff and grow a little weed too…😊

Weed was weed back in the day. Then everyone just wanted “dro”, which is dispensary grade. Nobody cared what strain it was, they just wanted dispensary grade, because to them it was more potent.
Then, consumers started focusing on this strain or that.
Breeders started chasing dragons in their practices. If purple is popular, everyone breeds for purple, or this flavor, or yield size. Fewer and fewer bred for balance, which resulted in lost genetics.
The market is flooded, driving down the price. Corporate America does what they do best. Cut every corner they can to produce more product faster.
This result is a less than premium product.
Dispensary grade weed is fast on its way to be considered mid grade weed, while the home growing, weed nerds that love their plants, and share and learn new techniques on social media are now consistently producing better weed than the big boys.
Gonna be interesting to see where everything ends up landing at.

More like stupid. Sure didn't bother the gov't when the drafted me. Two years in the Army carrying an M-16.
Exactly. Do you see this changing? I’m not sure what the Virginia laws are but I don’t sell and have no plans on giving up my weapons just cause I grow weed. Still weird how they determine the guns and weed law…

The dank is in the details.

Potheads don't need gun laws....gang members do.

I don't have any guns. Lost them in a Texas Tornado.

and Mrs Hopper?

my gf got pulled over one day and she has a .38 laying on the seat in open view

the cop asks if it is loaded and gf says yes and one in the chamber

the cop asks if she has any other firearms in the car?

she says yes and reaches into the glovebox and pulls out a 9mm

very impressive the cop says

anymore weapons?

so she reaches into her purse and pulls out a .357

the cop shakes his head and ask my gf what is she afraid of that she Carrie’s so many weapons?

gf says , i ain’t skeered of nothing

it is pretty bad that in some cities one better be armed while pumping gas
I am in a pretty safe area....so far. I don't and won't go into the city.....I stay in the suburbs. More murders in Denver than Portland.... I don't understand why this is allowed.

the older I get the less I care to leave my home...just too much out there that's just not right...my ignorance to what is REALLY happening in the world helps keep me blissfully ignorant...sad but true...

I don't like to sound like I'm bragging, but I'm convinced my product is far better than the corporate dispensary product. I'm not a massive grower but what I have in just 2 jars I'm my house is better than all the strains I tried from the Atlantic city dispensary. I tried a few different ones.
Not to mention buying legal weed here is like buying from a secret McDonald's where no one is allowed to tell you anything about the sesame seeds.
I felt like it was weird when the neck beard behind the counter handed me my brown paper bag, sight unseen, and nearly came across the counter when I went to open the bag prematurely.
Then instead of saying thank you for your order, he straight up said "aaaand you're welcome!"
I miss the drug trap alleys of st pete

from what I have heard about the Florida dispensaries is that they use PGR's and totally mishandle the product...the driving force is purely profit...I'd not smoke their flowers after hearing about that...Joe Redner is pushing to legalize recreational growing but I guarantee the state will be looking for more than a fair share...

I am not bragging either, but I will put my best up against their worst any day.
