just wandering how seedbanks determine indoor/outdoor strains.
will indoor ones grow outside and outdoors do good inside ?
curious as some sites will state one strain for indoors and another site will state the same strain for outdoors ????

Welcome rebel! I may be wrong, but it can be as simple as the breeders growing out their beans, in greenhouses, indoors and outdoors. Then they see how they did and put it in the write-up when they sell them. I am sure there is more to it, but you get the picture. Good question. Let's see what shakes out. There are some strains like Thai and Thai SS that take forever outside, unless you live near the equator. Those are often written up that northern growers may not get them to finish.

thanks 420, so if those labeled indoors were only grown indoors, they may do as good or better outdoors and vise versa. like u said lets see what others say.

different breeders do different things with the same strain, but not the same pheno...so joe blows skunk pheno may do well inside and out, while Joe Scmoes pheno was developed only for indoor growth. Some outdoor plants are just too unmanagable to grow indoors...but give another breeder a chance to work with them for awhile and they may get them indoor status.

15 yrs ago, all KC Brains gear was outdoor only....now it's indoor/outdoor because the strain has been further developed.

It all depends on the breeder and what their goals are.
