hii there everyone.been smoking a long time but have just started my first plant and i dont really know what i am supposed to be doing i think it is ready to start flowering buy i dont know for sure and how much light should it be getting now if it is (growing n doors no special equipment just on top of my fridge with a heated light in a closed room) it is about 2.5ft high ,please please help me if you have got time

Hi Melissa....Welcome to MP. There are a lot of cool people in here who know quite a bit. If you want your plant to flower you need to put the light on a timer and have it enclosed in a box and set it for 12/12..(12hours on and 12 hours off). Are you using any nutrients?:confused2:

Hello, I am new to this site as well, but have read PLENTY of good things on here already. You can look up some other peoples threads in here and find a plethora of information. But for what you have said, it really depends on when you want to start flowering. You need to get a couple of the screw in cfl light bulbs and a good room to seal off any light and start a 12 hours on and 12 hours off light cycle. I have been doing a 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. cycle but i see that many people on here use the 8pm. on to 8am of cycle. good luck.

Welcome...Im new here also but I have done some soil growing. As it has been said there is all the information you could ever need list in this forum.Your starting the same way I did , one plant and not a clue. It was very fun to learn. I kknow am starting with a 24 site hydroponics system in less than 2 yrs. You baby sounds tall enough to flower for sure. It is time to start 12 on and 12 off. I run mine from 8 am on to 8 am off for 2 reasons. First i like to look at my plants and if the light is only on late at night that means you have to be up very late to take care of them. When the light is off it is very important to keep it completetly dark "no exceptions", to much light and they go back to veg and you have to start flowering all over again. second reason I run mine during the daytime is if anyone can see the light at least its not on all night causing cocern from the neighbors. No need for the police to visit. The clf bulbs recomended is fine for one plant and you can just about put this light as close as you want. The more light the more the plpant will grow...Good luck and happy growing....TOKE IT
