Slowmo, just picture in your mind, instead of a lovely, cute young lady, a weird young lady with strangely colored hair and so much make-up on you can't see her face. You could also do a google search for ganguro and you'd see the type of lass I was suggesting.

Not really, but it's slowly increasing. I would guess maybe only 1-2% of the population smoke with any frequency. But, my friends that do smoke (Japanese and foreign) have been quite happy to be getting free buds from me.
