I have four widow and two t44 just at 8 weeks flowering today. They are looking very nice. This is my fourth grow and it has been great, knock on wood. No mites, no gnats, no mold. Don't have a clue as to what I did right this time around.

I know I read somewhere that before cutting to let them be in the dark for 48 hours.

Myth?

Ive heard that too i dont know the answer but someone has to. Ive heard it makes more crystals because the chlorophyll breaks down. idk if thats true or not

I just did a lowryder harvest and I flushed them good and put them in the dark veg room for 2 days I think, and then I cut them. I believe it has to do with the whole darkness thing, it helped them(the buds) tighten up.:D

Welcome to MP. Glad to have ya here and hope to see ya around. Enjoy the site! ;)

Hello!
Welcome to MP, your question is a good one. Ifyou give your plants 8hrs of darkness before you cut it stress's the plant out. In return you get a lil bit more resin and the buds also tighten up a lil. I have tried this method and did not really notice a significant differance so i do not continue the process. I do however only cut down my plants in the dark cycle, i do this because in the dark cycle all nutrients are located in the rootball, i do think this helps with making your smoke smoother. Make shure that when you do this that you dont water the day before, so at the end of the process it will be exactly 3 days of dry time, this helps speed up the drying process. Peace and Love!!!!!!
