so i started a grwo with 6 plants
and im about to get a hydro system,
is it possible to convert soiled plants to hydro?

cut you some clones off your dirt plants and use them in your hydro.

Weeddog is right, probably the best solution.

However, you can put the plants into hydro. BEING VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE ROOTS, just rinse all the dirt off the roots, then put it into hydro container. that's all it takes.

I did a couple times, each time I needed to use an aquarium filter in the res to get all the soil out

Iv done it before, its not the easiest thing to do, gota b careful and stuff but i hav done it with 1 plant and it had no probs.

its time consuming washing the soil out of the roots, its worth it to me. i did the same thing five days ago. my clones didn't like my hydro due to the operators problem with not waiting on enough roots, so my lil girls were dying QUICKLY. i took 3 of my established vegitating ladies, washed them off one at a time (there are NO shortcuts to this) and extremely carefully wrapping roots thru the rockwool i finally got them all in...straight water for 24 hours. very small amount of veg formula after that, and today i changed out my resevoir and gave them 3 gallons mixed and 2 gallons straight water. they are happy and just exploding with growth...

i only did this because my hydro would be sitting for a couple weeks, and i couldn't have that...i just enjoy my grows far more than i should...my escape i guess.

i made my bubble cloner and am having BIG issues with it, leaves turning yellow before i have adequate roots...i'll keep doing this until i can purr-fect results. i'm jealous, all the clones i'm seeing people making are looking great, its just taking me a little while longer.

in no way am i trying to undermind anyone else on this, just thought it might help...i cant emphasize the BEING CAREFUL OF ROOTS part on this. all the luck to ya and its allll green.

EDITED: i got curious, so i took a better look at the bottom of my net baskets...we have rooooots big time.

You could foliar feed the cuttings until they root. My dad was having problems with his home made cloner. I told him to try power clone by botanicare and he has had no problems since.

octabong got it right or you could copy me and chop some of the roots off .i dont mean purposely just if too much hassle some roots have to get chopped imho and ive never had a plant die thru this.

no poo

christ nearly swore again

Yeah the power clone kicks some serious butt, it's nice. Also they make a concentrate (might be what you're talking about) you put it right in the cloner water no need to dip cuttings. Also what are your temps like? I noticed in the summer I'm at like 75 or 80 degrees takes about 5 days for them to start roots, in the winter I might hit 70 as a high and it takes me like 2 weeks. Foliar feeding is a good idea too, BUT don't get too comfy with it and think you can do clones and foliar feed them next time all the way through, it makes them lazy. And this leads to weaker root systems. Another thing you can try is make sure the stems are not to long and there are no more than say 3 leaves on the clone, too much stem and vegetation requires a lot of the plants stored enrgy which in turn makes the clones root slower if at all sometimes. Sorry for the thread hijack.
