Hey everyone,

Starting up a new grow diary for my Gelato Kush by Kush Kings. I’ve got a small setup indoors, and I’m running everything in coco with Canna nutrients. Here’s the main gear:

  • Tent: 60cm x 60cm x 120cm grow tent
  • Light: SF1000 Spider Farmer LED
  • Medium: Coco
  • Nutrients: Canna line
Besides growing, I’m a solo developer, and I’ve been working on a platform to help track my grows. I built it to keep everything organized without needing tons of extra gear or tools. It’s got a dashboard where I can log each stage, keep notes on feedings and tasks, and view real-time environmental data—all of which really helps me track progress and catch any issues before they turn into bigger problems.

For the environment tracking, I’ve set up an ESP32 microcontroller connected to sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, and light level inside the tent. This way, the platform collects data automatically, so I can focus on my plants and still keep a full record of everything over time. I know there’s a lot of tech in there, but it’s actually pretty hands-off once it’s all set up.

Excited to share the journey with you all! I’ll post regular updates and any insights along the way. If anyone else is growing Gelato Kush, I’d love to hear how it’s going for you, too.

Nice looking grow and very intriguing Open Grow beta software! I’m subscribing to follow along.

I use the AC Infinity controller software to track temperature and humidity, but it doesn’t have a means of tracking nutrients. I use an online diary website to track my details by week (age, nutrient quantity by item, temperature, lighting schedule, height, nutrient ppm and ph, nighttime air temp) plus photos by week. I get more input and ideas to improve my grow here at MP since the online diary site doesn’t provide much input.

Again, welcome to the Passion!

Thanks for the welcome and for tagging along!

Yeah, I know what you mean—AC Infinity’s great for keeping an eye on the environment, but tracking nutrients and other details can get tricky without a dedicated spot for it. That’s one of the reasons I put together OpenGrow; I wanted a place where I could keep track of everything without juggling multiple tools.

The weekly logging approach sounds solid, especially with details like pH and ppm. I’m hoping the platform will make it easy to compare different weeks and spot any patterns, too. I’ll keep sharing updates, and definitely open to any ideas you have that could make it better.

Thanks again for the support, and looking forward to swapping tips here!
