Backing off on feeding the HB plants. Very little fade going on and I like a nice purple looking plant. The root balls on all the plants are so dense, water is just pooling up on top of the pots. May need to plop them in my dog’s pool going forward. Trich check today showed very few amber on both my plants and my neighbors plants. The buds on all plants are bulking up. Hoping to see some plump calyxes shortly.

The calyxes are starting to plump up but more importantly, purple is creeping up the stalks of the trichomes. Getting nice fade on one plant in particular

Found another bud on the HB with bud rot but I think I am good now. The plants spent the day in the garage yesterday to avoid the all-day rain event. Feeding some Cha-Ching I found in my nute stash. Probably the last feeding of the HB. Will continue feeding Manute for at least another week.
HB is going to be my Christmas beans. Or maybe Thanksgiving. Its happening.

I am finding bud rot daily now on some of the Heri-Berry plants. Clipping off the affected branch and trimming away the rot plus about a half inch radius around the rot. I may be harvesting early if this continues. 😡

The CDSRxNDU is still chugging along without any issues. My neighbors plants are doing the same. The HB getting some bud rot and the CDSRxNDU shrugging off any and all PM, BR and insects. The difference in resistance I think is the open sativa structure of the CDSRxNDU vs the dense indica strictly of the HB. The aroma is kinda licorice with notes of old school hash.

I have some bud envy going on. This is my neighbors primo bud on seeds she threw into a gallon pot. They weren’t fed until mid flower. I am frankly astounded. OFSG I think.View attachment 363114
BOTM?

Also never fed or watered until plants were discovered at 6ft tall.... now 12ft x 20ft wide

The difference is that plant is one of 9 in a 1 gallon plastic pot. Growing in the ground is a different game as the roots can seek out nutrients. I kinda scoffed at her little garden. I was wrong though and told her what she is going isn’t supposed to work but does for her. It is her first grow and she is a lonely widower who has survived cancer 3 times. It warms my heart that her grow is going so well. She needs some distraction from life in general. She is obsessing like I think we all did the first time we grew. I try to calm her down by telling her she is doing an amazing job.

I put 11 cuttings into 1 gallon pots, they did great. Plants that size are easy to manage and the buds on them are the equal to buds coming off the trees. I got over 500 grams from those little pots, not quite as big as the ones your pup's guarding.

The pot he is hanging out with is a 5 gallon pot. I grew I think 6 clones in a small pot a few years ago(I think it was less than a gallon) and got some decent buds. My neighbors plants have some nice big buds though. She didn’t top the plants so I think that the main cola is called an apical cola and a lot of the auxins are fed to that bud. My neighbor has ‘pot luck’ I guess because out of 10 or so seeds, she got 9 females. I chopped the male that sprouted early on for her.

Chopped and trimmed one Heri-Berry. I didn’t find any bud rot during trimming so I am now thinking I will let the rest of them go for a while longer. The trichomes were mostly cloudy, a few clear and a smattering of amber(or maybe they are purple and I am mistaking those for amber. I didn’t like the size or density of the buds on the chopped plant which is why I am opting to go longer. The top buds on each branch were nice and dense but the further down I went, the looser they got. They were good to about 6” down the branch.

Plus they need more color to make me a happy camper.

Loving the colors on this plant.

Gave the brood a dose of Bud Candy and EM-1 today. Hopefully the EM-1 helps the microbes clear out the nutes left in the soil so the rest of the fade more. Day 54 or so in flower. Trimmed up a couple of buds that the stems snapped on. We had a good rain yesterday and I think my violent shaking of the plants snapped to stems but I didn’t want the water sitting on them. Nice and dense buds though.

Looks delicious. No rot is great. I bet your thinning out this summer helped with that.
I am surprised I haven’t seen PM. A guy a couple houses up the street was telling me his plants are covered in it. I worried the spores would find my plants but so far, so good. The guy thinks he is an expert on cannabis because he worked in a legal grow facility(where they had PM problems). He told me he was going to ‘go nuclear’ on his plants and spray them down with isopropyl. I recommended Lost Coast or Dr Zymes since iso will melt trichomes. He said he thinks it will work. OK. I tried…

Hope you don't get PM bro. Fingers crossed 🤞
Good luck be glad you arent right below a mountain peak like me I get winds all the time. Breezy days are nice 5-15 mph winds are nice. The gusts that come 30-50 MPH you got to watch out for.

The thing that angers me is I think he is probably going to sell his harvest to unsuspecting people. I don’t know if his treatment will be effective at killing the PM. It probably will but unless he washes the buds off, I assume the spores will still be on the buds. Does that assumption sound right? I am certain I have smoked contaminated weed especially in the 70’s and 80’s and I ain’t dead yet but knowingly sharing or peddling contaminated bud seems devious.

So that's the nuclear option? I had some guy message me from some Facebook growers group.
The dude was so pumped full of bro science I had to chuckle. He wanted my thoughts on Moon Cycles for his grow tents. Lucky for him I had no thoughts.
