fertilizer question

The NPK im using is 24-8-16 and i was wondering if that was a good NPK to use early on in the grow process my plant is just about 1 month old and is starting it's 3rd set of 3 leaf set up if u have n e good tips and info about the proper NPK balance it would be most appericated
