My brain (?) is a bit flaky sometimes & I still haven't properly come to grips with how this forum works - you just might get a blank message or two - apologies just in case.
I know there's a few famous people living in Ojai but it's only recently I discovered that Eric Burdon (ex Animals & other bands) lives there and he's just turned 80. Not really interested in famous people but I do have a passion for music.
I'm gonna go knock on his door next time I'm out there and see if he'll smoke a bowl with me (although I prefer joints)

When I'm out there I do hang about a lot in that park but nowadays it's with my Grandson Rory.
That must be terrible - commiserations.
My wife died a few years back (we'd been separated for a few years - part of why I came to Spain) Ive had a brother and a sister die more recently and each time I was hit with a tsunami of grief.
But if either of my sons died before me I don't think I'd recover.
Peace. I find some solace in weed.

Bit off topic but I'm happy & baked.I do like those names - never heard joints referred to as hooters before
Not kidding - I love Ojai too and believe it's still a bit of a refuge for old hippys
My son David is a firefighter, first got hired by Oxnard, he now works for Montecito. My Grandson Rory is the light of my life and I'm burning to see them again.
He lives on East Villanova & has a neighbour Allen who's a similar age to me and is a "horticulturist" nice bloke - always drops by with a couple of single skinners.
bit difficult for David cos they get tested regularly so he tends to leave it alone.
just got word my flight to LA is booked for November 16th. So I'll be in & around Ojai from then till February 4th.
