I know that the answer is probably no, but I'm going to ask anyway.......So my plant is about 2 months old, growing great with no problems, that was until.......my boyfriends ******* cat decided to chew the top of it off. I was just wondering if there is anything that I can do to salvage it? Please help!

It may work and it may not, but stems can be broken almost completely in half and then saved by taping it back up. It would be worth a shot, you will know in a few days if it is going to take or not.

Is your plant already in flower? If so how long has it been in flower? If it isn't in flower yet or is within the first couple weeks of flower then it really isn't a big deal at all, the plant will recover and your final yield should not be affected as much, the other shoots will grow bigger.

I know it isn't exactly the same but I had a puppy rip a freshly rooted clone out of a rockwool cube so that all the new roots were ripped off. I put more rooting hormone on it and put it in a new rockwool cube and it grew new roots all over again. If the top is not badly damaged...how about trying to make a clone from it?

My cat loves to eat my plants too, but has never destroyed any of them. He just chews on a few of the bottom leaves, that are just going to die anyway. Plants are suprisingly resilient and they want to live, Good luck.

Step #1...put cat in blender and turn into a nice tea to fertilize the plant it chewed up...Step #2...Get a dog...lol

My cat likes my plants a little to much too...the first time she got ahold of them she just put holes in some of the fan leaves...thought i had another pest problem...turns out i did...the cat

From experience...

dogs like a little nibble here and there too. Especially when they are on a diet.

Spray bottle. Get that little SOB everytime he is by the plant.

maybe thats why i have a plant that has 3 leaves and it slipped by me til it was a while. i bet my cat ate the bugger off it. it was on the edge that i left the door to my cab open an he does like to lay in the light that comes out my flower space when ileave door open.
im a have to put like a screen door on my boxes now i think lol.
im sure ya plant will respond as if being normally topped and continue growin on. and at 2 months id say ya'd have to do more cosmetic damage than that to kill ya plant anyway. there alot of things that could go wrong but im sure odds are it'll just continue after a week at most of recovery from the shock if any dependin on how severe it is really...jmo

I dont let any of my pets anywhere near my grow room..... Its not like their dirty animals or anything but if they do happen to carry something inside I would rather like to avoid exposing my plants to some infestation. Plus I would throw my cats in a trash can if they even looked at my babies the wrong way.

just treat it as being topped ,,,and veg for a little while longer

and if shes in flower ,,well not much you can do ,,you just have a little less to harvest :peace:

Put a little cat nip out for the cat, share the wealth, maybe it just wants to get high......................

It doesn't really answer your question, but I wanted to share a current plant I am growing....

This is the ONLY use I have ever found for a cat :)

The plant is a Jack Herer, just starting to bud, was vegged too long and top had to be bent over to keep under the lights, think she is done stretching though.

The cat liter box makes the perfect square pot...thoroughly washed of course. No the plant is not being grown in kitty liter. ;)

hello, you sure it was the cat and no the bf?
to keep dogs away coco shell mulch.
cats I dont know how to rid ourselves from them. or bf/gf's.
they can be worse then cats and dogs . sry bout your plant.

cats dont like pepper or citrus ,,some orange and lemon peel or pepper around the outside of the pot

ohh and menthol vapour rubb works too

vapor rub works huh? i may have to try that once an chek it out. it sure be nice to know that my cat aint gonna have a snack at nite when i asleep or use the pots as a liter box lol.
when i was mixin my soil he jumped in an started scratchin at the dirt liek a liter box til i caught him lol.
for a cat wit no nards he's pretty frisky lil punk.
