'Easy Sativa' and 'Afghan' - please help..

Hey all,

I bought 10 afghan seeds from the link below and also got 5 free seeds called Easy Sativa (2nd link):

They are now at 8 and a half weeks flowering, see my grow journal for pictures of them last week. The hairs on the buds haven't started browning at all yet. I have ordered a 30X magnifying glass but its taking forever to get here! So I'm not sure of the glands colour yet.

The Sativa i'm not really sure when it'll be ready as i've not seen that strain anywhere else and its not showing any signs of being ready yet.

I was just hoping someone who's seen or grown these strains could let me know how long they took to flower and stuff.

Well if your growing Sativa's your looking at about 10 to 12 weeks of flower before harvest maybe longer. That's one thing about Sativa's they take forever to flower.

Yea I know generally sativa's take longer, but the site i got these from states they both take 7-9 weeks. I'm still waitin on that bloody jewellers loupe!

To be honest I have no idea what else to look for except the white hairs going brown and the trichs changing from clear to milky then amber, but that bit i can't do yet til the loupe arrives.

Gonna get some new pics up on my journal as soon as i can.

Hi Thorn- I use those guys and also got some Easy Sativa. I saw it elsewhere being sold as outdoor, but I don't know if they're the same. I have 10 of them from 2 orders, but never tried them because I'm busy with the seeds I wanted. My last order had Thai Stick for freebies- (California Skunk x Thai) that sounds good.
I did order Sweet Bud from them- it's a real sativa-looking plant, a lot like bamboo. It is nearly 7 wks into flower and the buds are suddenly getting fat, after looking pretty scraggly. Coincidence? I just added 1 Tbsp molasses (dissolved in hot water) to the bubbler.
Stretch was wild- went in at 2wks, 6" tall. Now it's been trained horizontal, but main stem is around 3' long. It's my 1st Sativa grow, so I can't help much; just nu-b observation.
BTW, I am growing in primitive DWC set-up, veg CFL and 40W tubes, flower with 400HPS and CFLs.

Cheers man, i've just uploaded some pics of them at 9 weeks on my grow journal, the links in my signature if you wanna check em out.

TBG, do the new pics help at all? The afghan's pistils are slowly getting more and more brown, but the sativa's still almost all white.

Just had a look at them through the 30X jewellers loupe and they still looked clear, but its hard to tell :confused2:
