say i'm ordering some lowryder seeds online, but i'm only getting 5 seeds... if i got a male could i then get more seeds and keep the family going? i know there's cloning but how would i get more good seeds to plant and hope they are female?

All you have to do is keep the males with your females and nature will take care of Seed production
I read somewhere you can pollinate a female manually by collecting the pollen sacks of males before you kill them... than spread the pollen over a girl you'd like seeded... A seed should be at least 4 weeks old to be mature...
I know there'd be more advanced breeders here t answer your question.. I just like to post the first reply

Leaving a male in with your fems, will result in a fully seeded crop. You 'don't' want that.
Look in the breeding section for posts on "selective pollination" or "collecting pollen".
Breeding your own seeds will most likely result in a totally different assortment of plant phenotypes, too. Meaning don't expect the next generation of plants to be identical to the first set. You may very well get some very tall, non-auto flowering plants.
Depending on the strains "stability" and on your parental selections.

LOL--Well it can be as easy as that, but there is a difference between simply making seeds and breeding seeds. Even with a fairly stable strain you can get differing phenotypes.

I would definately advise against just letting your males and females hang out together. An entirely seeded crop will give you more seeds than you can probably use in 10 lifetimes and very little smokable bud.

Peter to save u any extra effort if ur a little lazylike me with the money your saving from not buying any weed when ur crop is ready ....I'd buy some quality feminized seed's i got 5 feminized for £30 U'll soon make it back in saving's

ya know.. i guess i never really thought about it like that tess that is true. especially since me and my buddy are spending anywwhere 200-400$ a week on weed :shocked: so your absolutely right Tess thanks

yea i would say read up on it but its possible to move your male into a different room or box and collect the pollen and then pollinate only a few buds on one plant. this would give u mostly bud. and u would have enough seeds for another crop. but leaving a male in with the femals is deff. a bad idea u cant smoke seeds!

No problem Hunnie.....Me n my hubby spend a small fourtune a week well a big fourtune and we cant wait for our first crop of our own innexspensive smoke!!

we will probs just clone sum leaves of a female plant and see if it works (well if i aint too dumb to work it out) " Got to love Blonde moments" Lol
