hi all.
just a lil` problem i`ve been having-and have had for some time now.
my top colas dry in under a week:fid:
i always hear that the slower the drying-the better...
what can i do to extend the drying phase, or do i even need to?
after the drying i put in air-tight jars for the cure.
:lama: forever onwards:lama:

Dry in a smaller volume of air. Then you can monitor the humidity and supply air flow occasionally to keep humidity around 75%.

I think alot of work is happening inside the leaf for the first week or so. Moisture is needed for that work. How much moisture? ?

It seems that the slower the dry the less time it takes to "cure" or atleast to mellow the smoke.

You can also water you plants really good the night before harvest. To get them good and saturated.

No advice because you know I had that problem too.

But I wanted to tell you hello, haven't seen you in ages. :D

Do not water your plants before harvest, you want the plants to get rid of moisture to lessen the chance of mould, no drink for 2-3 days before chop day, just because the outside of the bud is dry does not mean the bud is dry, you will be surprised at how much Moisture is still in the middle of the bud and stalk, If you tell us how you dry them then we can advise further :)

well, they get hung from a line in a cool dark room.

What I do is hang until the outside of the bud seems real dry, usally just a few days but as HIE said there is moisture inside the bud.
Then I throw them into jars but keep a eye on them because they will get very damp after being in the jar for 6-8 hours, if they are very damp i take them back out for at least a few more hours then back in the jar, repeat as nesasary.
