Drying out

What is the best method of drying out your bud?...

I was originally told to wrap it in newspaper and put it in the closet. So that's what I've done that for awhile but I was wondering if there was a better method. The newspaper is always pretty sticky and makes me think it's taking away tricromes.

From what I've read, a person should hang dry their bud first then cure in jars.

There are some good stickies to read about drying on the top of the 'drying and curing' section.

The newspaper would probably work, because it would absorb the moisture (same as the paper bag method). I always hang them first, though. Then move to jars and if they are too wet then I paper bag them dry 'em out a bit more.

i take roots and all and hang them for a day, then i trim and hang till dry then on to curing. or i hang for 15 days and then smoke
