TRUMANN, AR -- A Trumann man awoke Monday morning to find his dog eating one of his testicles.

The man, who has not been identified, is paralyzed and told police he has "no feeling from the waist down."

Around 7:45 a.m. Monday he was awakened by a "burning pain" in his mid-section, according to the initial police report.

The 39-year-old man told police he sleeps in the nude and noticed the dog was between his legs.

He also noticed the "small, white, fluffy dog" had blood on its muzzle and front feet.

When the man looked further, according to the report, he noticed that "the dog had eaten one of his testicles."

The victim said the dog was a stray he had taken in about three weeks earlier. The man was unsure if the dog had been vaccinated.

Police took the dog to a local veterinarian where it was euthanized. Its head was sent to the Arkansas Department of Health to be tested for rabies.

The victim was taken to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

I think you only need a strong stomach if you are a guy. However, how hungry does a dog have to be to start eating body parts? I feel bad that the dog was destroyed when he probably was starving.

Protein is protein to an animal and ifin its there to eat they will eat it, I have personaly witnessed human bodies (dog owners) who have passed in the home and their best friends helped themselves. Have a scratch on yur leg and let yur dog wonder it wont be long befur he draws in on the scent and given the chance will start lickin it.

I knew someone that died and was left in the home for 2-3 days with 2 dogs before the body was discovered. The water dish and both toilets were empty, but they did not start gnawing on him. I contend that the dog had to be pretty hungry to start gnawing on a person.

Funny yual says this 7green because befur my wife was diagnosed with her cancer our yellow lab always be wimperin and winein and stickin his nose to wifes crotch region. Never would let it stop even when told to stop. Couple months later diagnosis stage 2 cervical cancer. Moral of story reckon would be always trust mans best friend
