Just was wondering what everyone thought about Digital ballats ? If so is this light a good one for the price web. site htgsupply.com/viewpoduct.asp?productID=48930 Thanks

I bought my 600 digis from HTG and I'm tellin ya, ORDER ONE!!!!!!

They are the best! HPS/MH switchable, it's WAY more energy efficient, if you accidentally turn it off, no sweat, just turn it right back on and there is no problemo.

Also, the light from a digi is more effective, as it has a smoother current going into it, so the light "technically" stays on longer than in a normal ballast.

Great customer service too..not many places you can call with a customer service issue and get to talk to the REAL guy in charge of the place.

I have their 400 digi in a cooltube and love it as well. Getting ready to use it with the mh bulb in my veg, and buy one of their 1000s for flower. I deff recommend htg.

Btw, i keep the ballast right in my growbox, and it barely produces any heat and is silent.

Tells me the page has been moved ;)
I see that you just have to go under grow light and pick Digital Greenhouse systems 400 Watts Thanks JJ ;)

I would use this in a 6 sq foot space 2.2 depth by 3.0 wide by 6.5 feet tall i thought this would do just fine, plenty of light to have a good harvest.

I also use htg supply for my needs via internet. I myself have two digital ballasts both are lumatek and running great. one is a 400 and one is a 600.

The ballast runs much cooler. I have no interference and it does not hum. The newer ones have a built in fan to keep the internals cool.

They are switchable ballasts as in you can use either mh or hps in them. Make sure their the same wattages. Don't over drive bulbs. I rather leave knowing my bulb is to spec and possibilities of fire is a minimal.

As for "if you turned it off on accident" after it has been warmed up and running 100% efficiency. Do not, Do not turn it right bak on. You will need to wait atleast ATLEAST 15 mins 30 is preffered. this is to prolong the life of your ballast and bulb as well as keeping its life up

Cap sells a module to prevent hot starts. I use them on my lights. Hot starts can cause the ballast ignitor to malfunction.

i love my digitals .. I use lumateks personally.

The greenhouse digitals that htg sells are nice too though .

You will love em.
