Hi there. I finally got my clones doing what i want. They are budding and looking great. BUT ! my light died. Its under warranty and i have a new one coming. But for the time being im stuck bringing my indoors onto a porch to get light. They are getting light from 8am-4pm. Is this enough light to keep em going until i get the replacement light ? Also should i ease them back under the light by turning the brightness of the lights up gradually ? Just paranoid. Cant believe the light died at this point in the grow. Grrrrr.........

^ Well i will have a extra now. I ordered a new one and im having the old one replaced under warranty. But for now im stuck with what i got. Which is bringing them out on the porch to get light from 8am to roughly 4pm. My question is, will this amount of sun light keep em alive and continuing on until i get my lights ? Im suppose to have the replacement on Monday. So Wed-Monday is my worry here.

They were on a 12/12 cycle when the light died.

If they are flowering yes. Not optimal but ok if in veg your screwed like I was. I took my clones in 2nd week of flower so I already revegged them once. Then a meth head hit a pole which took out 2 other poles . We were only without power for 4 hours and they went into flower at one month old. Now I have tiny flowering clones.

Glad to hear your clones are doing well! As long as they’re getting sunlight from 8am-4pm, that should be enough for now, even though it’s not as strong as your grow light. When your new light arrives, it’s a good idea to slowly increase the brightness to help them adjust without stressing them out. I totally get your frustration, but once they’re back under the proper light, they should do fine!

You'll be fine doing what your doing. When the. New lamp comes just set the timer and roll.

If ya have to. Just leaving them in the dark a few days doesn't hurt them much at all. Lose a few days of flower time but all is good.

Another option is to throw any lamp ya have in there and plug into your timer. Low light will keep them in flower too.

^ I dont have any spare lights. Im suppose to have my new light by monday latest. So im to Friday right now. We got a nice sunny day. But Sat and Sun are suppose to be cloudy and cold. So i have 48 hours to worry about. Nice thing is i will now have a backup light so this will never happen again. Its just the wait til the light shows up and about 3-4 days later another backup light arrives.

Just set em on a table or something and motel 6 it. (leave the light on)

Any kind of light is enough to keep them in veg. They don't need to be outside getting full sun and stuff. A few gloomy dark days isn't gonna hurt em at all just don't keep them dark for 10+ hours a day or they'll flower.
