I have been growing pot for seven years or so and flowers for 30 and I suck at growing pot. when i first started I did steller, kinda stellar. 2016 outdoor grow was beyond horrible. What with the infected clones and the broad mites and the thrip and the thrip and the thrip.

I just want to say that for all you new growers, stuff happens all the time. Be diligent, look at your plants every day. And don't just die like i do when stuff goes to hell. Start over. I am going to. Back to indoor.

I suck at growing worse than U Rose !-- Things have been going well lately and I just know something bad will happen to the grow again !-- I figure if I just keep on keeping on maybe one day I can do what I know can be done !--- I'm just not good enough grower yet ! --- Wonder what will happen next ? -- Will I be able to deal with it or will I lose it all and have to start over ? -- Cause I will !-- Sooner or later I'm gonna figure it out !--- I feel kinda lucky though !-- I know some people and they know a little bout growing !

Rose, you have also confessed to being an honest person. Come on back inside and show us what you can grow!

Confessions ? --
- I got about 8 varieties I haven't even sexed yet !-- I might have at least that many varieties sexed and growing !--
I'm a variety hoarder O.K. !--

As much as I admire and am sometimes jealous of outdoor growers....I love Indoor Growing. Rose you could never suck at anything. You are a kind hearted good human being. We need more of you.

How do you prevent thrip in December G13? Tell me.

actually most everything I've read says thrip is not supposed to be a big big problem outdoors....... it seems your dry hot climate and most likely there is a lot of something they really like growing near you is the problem........ sooooo..... unless you wanna do chemical combat your probably gonna do better in the guest bathroom. :48:

Several folks lost their grow according to the grow shop.. I have dealt with thrip for years on roses, never saw anything like this. Hope i never do again.

Rose I know where 2 phenos of Nurse Larry live if U ever want her back ! -- Sure smokes nice !-- D.D.'s new favorite !-- but which pheno to keep ? -- Maybe both !-- They not the same !-- I keep getting way high like this trying to figure out that taste and smell !-- Maybe another toke and I'll know !

I confess that i am a Lesbian. I love women and think men are ugly and stinky. Lol

There are good years and bad years outdoors for all growers.

If you ever need any help rose just pm me.

The only stupid questions are the ones that are never asked.

:)

Yes Rose, No more outdoor grow here either...all that work and not enough time to finish...will be sticking with my indoor closets...where the weather is dry...:)
W.H....I too am a lesbian trapped in a man's body........

TOA, so nice to see you. Thank you and stick around will ya? I have probably a half a pound of pot that is too speedy because it didn't finish.. Wth do i do with that, can't make it into oil, can I?

When an outdoor is good it is really good, but when it is bad it is very bad..

Rose it pains my heart for you to feel as if you failed. My granddaddy was a shade leaf tobacco share cropper and so was my dad, bad years happen to really good growers. I see no faults in your game other than you really got hit really hard this year, and so did a bunch of other people. What you do for others and your care in growing and nurturing healthy plants the natural way, that alone speaks volumes. We all have a bad crop, yours sucked....but it was not a reflection of your skills or abilities, it simply was what it was, a crop that got hit hard with pest's and that alone caused a reduction in your harvest....not anything you did, well unless you figured out a good way to lure them to your yard. I would be working with my county ag agent and see if you can piece any of this together, it will go a long way in preventing this from happening again. You had to have something in common with the others that got hit hard, you need to find out what. If i could give you a big o'l hug i would....so you'll have to settle for an ehug "~hugs~"

Hey there Rose, I have G13's approach of prevention, it is the only way imo, and it works consistently. I think that you are being harsh on yourself, you are a very good grower and you can do things with the final product that makes you look like willy wonka to most of us. If you allow me to give some remarks about your last OD grow, it was way too exposed, too much forest and dirt around, very little to nothing to protect it. If you want to get something great from your od I suggest that you do serious planning for prevention. Best of all if you could get a small greenhouse, isolate it from the dirt using thick flooring sheets and make precautions to prevent pests from entering. You will still get infestations, but they will be very minor compared to what you are getting. I would also trim the surrounding trees, clear the bushes, and go chemical to a meter or 2 away from my fence. I use green plastic nets that comes in big rolls for greenhouses, line my fence with it, it is 8 ft high very durable, i bury it in the ground very effective all around prevention when done right and neat, i clean the grasses that grow just behind that barrier periodically to prevent the roots from damaging the net. it lasts years. A small greenhouse can give you all the goodness that you need Rose, and I think that you can do it. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing your great indoor op cheers :D

Oil might help the effect...or letting the bud age.

Maybe try putting some in the oven at low temperature for a while and see if the thc will break down some before you smoke it.

Or even do some cooking with it...

Hi my name is orange---and i too have grown bunk ditch weed---this is my 1st meeting---a near self inflicted death experience brought me here this morning---i been sober for 2 minutes because i couldn't find my stash---thanks for the coffee and doughnuts---j/k lol---don't fret my dear---we all have had issues in our grows that test us and put us in check---i like to call it a humbling moment of clarity---others just another screw up---don't beat yourself up---we all know you have the skilz and will do just fine next year---when the going gets tough the tough get going---ime---my lack luster grows have all come due to my own neglect---thinking i can will the plant to do the impossible---too much confidence of being a know it all---blah blah blah---on such an occasion i find it most important is to get back to basics---identify the issue and deal with it early---you already know how to kick a thrip butt---check lists work for me---effort and diligence always pay in the form of the biggest harvests---little luck never hurts either---i find there is a happy medium between over working and thinking with following what you know you know---the plants are going to do what they do based on your setting the stage for their success and that begins with healthy stock---nothing worse than taking in a friend's strain with pests and/or disease---very bad start---a healthy start and vigilant maintenance are your keys to success---sometimes they need a bit of help---other times all the help in the world isn't gonna save them---that for me is plant neglect---yes i'm guilty of it---what brings me back is the challenge---knowing i can do better---telling myself do it right or don't do it at all---buying weed somewhere else can very motivating---so---the moral of the story to setting yourself up for success from the git go--- preparation preparation preparation---be vigilant with maintenance and all the hurdles are easier to jump---on that note---i need to search my carpet for some shake to smoke haha---you will get your green mojo back---i am sure of it---:heart:
