lights go on in a couple hours in my flower room---just finishing up my keg with co2---thinking about emptying the bottle into the room---i'll kill the room exhaust to contain it as long as possible---the room is about 5 x 9

questions are:

am i in any danger---i'll stay out of the room

how long shall i keep it contained before exhausting the room

anything you can add to my inexperience is appreciated

Do not do it right when the lights come on. There is already high levels of co2 from the plants unless you have been exhausting during lights outs.

To much co2 turns your plants yellow.

Depends how much c02 is in the room

how long shall i keep it contained before exhausting the room

as long as you can before temps exceed

how long should i stay out of the room was not for my benefit---but for the plants---i do not want to deprive them from extended periods w/out fresh air

also--- i got a gas water heater in the next room---which is well ventilated---should i be concerned

Unless your room is very well sealed and nobody drank any beer, you should not have any problems what so ever.

I had my tent up to 15,000 ppms trying to gas mites. Did not hurt me but turned my plants yellow. I did this by running 1.5 cu release rate for 64 minutes.

thanks my feathered friend---what do you think---do you think i'll see any last jump or benefit in week 6 of flower that may just push me towards a remodel with a/c and a sealed room

The biggest jumps are seen in veg. But any co2 is helpful except for the last 2 weeks of flower. You will definitely see them green up. I have been running co2 now for 9 months or so. You will see an increase in buddage but not at the percentages many mention. The better dialed in you are the more increase you will see with the addition of co2.ime

green up---you just said too much co2 will make them yellow

i'm not looking for a miracle---just thought since i paid for the co2---i should use it---and didn't want to blow up the garage

thanks Dr

exceed what---it's already up in the 85-90 degree range

You need high ppms(12,000+) to yellow up your plants. Turn your reg down leave on for 15 minutes leave off for 3 hrs will not hurt your plants

co2 will not blow up. they use it in welding.

thanks again my feathered friend---now i just got to finish up that keg---what a week---whew

i knew that---left out much of my thought---run on incomplete sentences are my specialty on occasion---should have asked if you are familiar with turning the natural gas for the water heater into co2 for the room

Orange my friend, I think it will not do too much good just dumping CO2 into your grow without being regulated to a specific ppm.
From what I read here, you are only going to do it for a day? To see actual benefits, you will need to run elevated levels for longer then that.

If you are going to run it longer then a day, you will also need to boost your feed ppm's, along with running higher then normal room temps.

Running CO2 properly is all about room control and controlling all the variables, IE, temps/RH.

Now, boosting your CO2 for a day here and there certainly isn't going to hurt the plants, as long as your temps don't get too high, or the CO2 levels don't get crazy (10,000ppm or better), and as I think about it, it prob will help plant growth. But, it will not cause an increase in production to the point where you will be amazed.

Exactally. The better you can control your room, the more benefit you will see from CO2 elevation.

no harm no foul NCH---i wasn't expecting some miracle from a 1 time usage---just wanted to be sure i wasn't doing something drunk and stupid---i have always wanted to run a co2 room and will be knocking on your door when that day comes---the thought is to split the natural gas line from the water heater---add a minisplit and possibly venture into the hydro game
