My clone that I took a few weeks ago and about 2 weeks ago confirmed new growth, and today only about 1-2 inches tall, and under a near 24-hour per day light regimen is tonight ALREADY showing female flowers / white-pistils! How is this possible?

I don't want her to flower now. I want to veg her for a few months and then flower later on because I want to take a few more clones from her lower growth before I put her into flower.

What are your thoughts on this?

Clones are as old as their parents, so if your clones was taken from a mother that is now past 6 weeks old, its gonna show its sex, cause though its a small little clone, its plant material is 6 weeks old.

Now sometimes I'll encounter a clone that starts to look like its straight up gonna flower and bud up, the rest of the post is for that scenario...

Keep her under that 24 hour a day light regimen, she'll grow out of it. This happens to me from time to time, esp. if I clone from a parent I threw into 12/12 to sex then pulled back out (something I don't often do or like to do, but hey it happens). I think it might have something to do with stress levels causing floragin imbalances. Also some strains are a bit more prone to do this. Might wanna take note and maybe breed em with a lowryder, could be a good mix.

Anyways, keep it under your current lighting, and try to reduce any stressing factors you can, for me it usually helps to get em into a bigger pot and give the roots room to grow to encourage vegatative growth. Once the roots have room to flourish, it normally pulls out of its weird budding phase thing...

This is just weird. I hope she grows out of it into vegetative so that I can clone the clone more easily.

I moved her to a bigger pot two days ago before there were pistils. I am learning new stuff about marijuana growing / cloning every day. I love this stuff.

I am really excited about cloning now that I have succeeded this first time. I would like to grow this girl up, then top to encourage growth in the lower branches, and then take those branches to make more clones. Then I would like to take the seeds from my seedy bud that I sparkled with pollen and then cross breed back into the "same" female who is now clones.

The only breeding I would consider with WW are 1.) other WW to create pure WW seeds and clones and 2.) other strong strains like Jack Herer, SC, and perhaps some others if they are as strong as these.

WWM Take a chill this is normal. Stay the cool the clone will grow normal as long as you keep your light regime 18/6 or 24/0 the plant will grow healthy. You will have all the branches you will need for cloning.

Cmon Buddy, don't need to get another flame thread goin here, there's been enough of em goin around lately...

Ha, it just some can take it better than others, if ya need to crack a joke, I'd appreciate it if ya could figure out how to bring some laughter to the fact that I just accidently flushed my girl a week s from harvest with a nute solution... bleh, double taskin gets me no where...

Flushing ,flushing, flushing keep those nutes a moving just dont end with a raw root Sung to "Rawhide"

:yeahthat: Thanks for heads up on clearex. I had not heard of it.
:confused2: who in their right or left mind smoke fan leaves? That brings back flashback of childhood. Now I'll have nightmares again.

I suppose this is applicable for Hydro grows. For soil I would just recommend good, nice warm water to let soak through to clean a few times if necessary. But nutrients are good for the plant so no need to flush in soil. I guess there are extra tasks and steps necessary in a hydro-operation. I prefer soil grows. I saw someone comment here how soil is better for quality, and hydro is better for quantity quicker. I agree with this statement / observation (at least the soil part is true: true quality), and can be so much better when organic and natural.

Just flush her out with final phase or clearex. It forces the nutes out of the plant.

WWM a lot of people use no nutes during the last 2 or 3 weeks so as to not have a fert taste to the smokeables. I use natural composts and teas, so I do not know about the taste different. Your right use room temp. water to flush about 3 time the size of your container(1 gal container=3 gal water)

Just thought i'd say, the clone i grew as mother i did gentle LST threwout its life and started pinching it in stages, i.e each tall stem in turn, at around 10 weeks old she gives me more cuttings than i can ever use and is still fairly short and really bushy, not needed to top her as yet.
