My rollitup account stopped working and they wont help me fix it so ive come here.Ill do my best to explain where im at so far. What I have is a 3'wide 2' deep and 3' high cabinet. It has a 50cfm fan drawing air out and one drawing the air in. I am running a 150hps, 2 6500k daylight and 2 4200k general purpose. The box is also wired up with an electrical socket and light sockets with splitters for the cfl's. its all pictured . The seeds sprouted feb 1st so its been a little over 2 weeks.

Currently I have 9 plants in soil and 1 in a Super DIY bubbleponics system. I have only grown in soil so the bubbleponics is just to gather a little knowledge. The pictures posted are no newer than day 9 I will take more tonight when the lights come on its the first dark cycle of 12-12 today.

The soil i am using is miracle grows moisture control ive had good luck with it. It has some sort of nutrients in it but As far as nutrients i am adding i have purchased botanicare liquid karma, cal mag, sweet, pro grow, and pro bloom. I also have some clearex flusher. I am using all but the sweet and bloom. It says you can add sweet now but i figured ill save it for flower that stuffs expensive!

All of the plants are bagseed from pretty good stuff. The only reason i have them is because i am impatient. I had planned on ordering seeds but couldnt wait. I did order last monday and im getting automatic white russians. Because I need to seed them anyways I am going to throw them in with these at 12-12.

Alright like I said all of those pictures were from day 9 or before. The new pictures are from tonight which is day 16. Im very happy with the way everything is going. The growth has exploded on all of the plants. I have transplanted 4 into slightly larger pots just enough to hold them over till I sex them. The rest of them ill do when im not so high. Also today was the first dark cycle for them 12-12. I have had them on 24/0 since they sprouted.

My rigged up bubbleponics system is holding up somehow. On top of that its outperforming all the others. At first I was going to kill the seedling as it was half the size of the others. I decided hey what the hell im stoned and i rigged up this system from a chlorox bleach bottle, an airstone pump and tube, and instead of getting rockwool or expanded clay I just suspended it in a piece of styrafoam. I used my botanicare nutrients in the water. I did not expect it to live much the less become the biggest one i have. Because of these results i plan on building an nft type system for my autos. Unfortunetely I still dont know much about the nutrients and stuff so any input would be awesome

The seed greenhouse has a bunch of vegetables and flowers in it(I love growing ****). The other random plant picture is sweet corn. I have a bunch more of them I was bored and started this one. The rest Ill start closer to when they need to go outside. The cab is for the good stuff!!!

cool set up you have there, but in pic one it looks like your electrical outlet is on the bottom right be side your tray you might want to move that up just in case some water gets spilled...:48:

i just have the box in my closet the exaust fan goes through the wall into another closet that has the furnace in. It was pretty funny when i built this thing i measured inside the closet but not the width of the doorway. It took me almost 45 minutes to figure out how to get it in

Yeah the electrical socket is on the bottom left corner. I did think about the water but i cant really move it anymore. Its mounted on a 2x2 so atleast its a few inches off the ground.

grow them on 24/0 or 18/6. throughout the whole thing since its autos. way better setup than i started with. haha, im not even gonna go there, but looks to me like you just need to lower the plants some so the light hits them better. its probably fine like that but, the more light the better growth. really nice set up though, ill steal the idea for the next grow, but a bit different. good luck on your grow.

oh.. tell me... what is that white material you have that holds this plant (stem/roots)

this is just a piece of styrafoam from a pack of speakers. i cut out a circle and have the stem through it. it just floats on top the water The foam has stretched as the stem thickened. of course its not ideal but its an experiment and its working.

Day 19, 3rd at 12/12 Everything is going ok for the most part. As it starts to get warmer im going to have heat problems. I have considered air conditioning the room their in. Also my white russians still have not arrived but its only been a week so im not gonna get to worked up yet. Will update more later

Hi friend just saw your post,great pics and plants.I have 2 questions.If the light is on with the door close can you see light escaping ? If so are you concerned about when the lights are of can light enter during the off photo period as with some plants can go hermie on short notice ? :watchplant: :farm: :guitar: :cool2:

Yes! there is light escaping. It does have me a little worried . When i built the box I in now way considered that the doorway was small than the closet. After a hell of a time getting it in I realized I couldnt open the door . Its hinged at the top and lifts up. What i had to do was cut part of the door off to get it to open you can see that where a large amount of lights coming out. I have purchased a green cfl I thought i remeber reading at some point green light doesnt affect light cycle. I may just suffer with it in my room its kinda dim.

Going to update again tonight with some new pictures and still waiting for white soviet bastards to get here

Its day 19 and day 3 of 12/12 everythings getting bigger but slowing down a little bit. I lowered the plants down to give them space they were beginning to crowd each other. There is almost 2 foot of space between the tops and the hps there are 4 cfls on either side. Think this is enough light till they get a bit taller?

I cleaned out the bubbleponics container it was starting to get a film buildup on the sides. is this common? It was no big deal to clean and ad nutes for .5 gallon setup but when im running 5-10 gallons its a different story.

Other than that nothing much new. I have considered purchasing either another 150 hps or getting a metal halide and building the cooltube with the bake around. I would guess another hps would be good but if i have a countinuous crop of autos I want to make sure i have good light for all stagers of growth. I saw the site for the 20 dollar hps but they are listed at 9,999 dollars. i know places do that when they run out ill have to call them. Anybody know of good MH deal
