ok hears my set up, this going to be my very first grow. ok i got 8 30watt floro's all screwed in around the 4 walls of the wall. i all so, have 3 85watt vho dullspetrum drop lights. the drop's put out, 8000k lums, as for the 8 floro's i don't know the lum's. But they are for growing, as label. Ok my? Is, is it worth it to run the lights on the wall when they are small? it is a small closet grow outfit.

good info there muttly. as for you Wiseguy Chef i ran one closet with 4 4ft floros emitting 2600 lumens each and then put to 23watt = 100watt cfls above it and grew some great Stoney BUds start to finish. although soon after that i added a small watt HPS which eliminated the use for all but 2 floro tubes. the setup i run now is two 23 watt cfls and a 85watt cfl = 500 watts supposively i knows its brighter than hell and working great so im not complaining. i've seen that style light mounted outside for garages and in bathrooms that are large to say the least.

wow if your 85 watt cft are that bright, my 2, 85watt very high output (VHO) dullspectum, will work great can't wat to get them, they will be in monday. the seeds hopefully soon. the first strain i am going to grow is super silver haze.

I like the compacts and they do save a lot of energy around the apartment. I used to have a lot of regular light bulbs and some places where there were four in a fixture that rated 120 watts. I replaced those with one 13 watt compact and it is just as good. I think I save about ten bucks a month using compacts and I use them for my garden too.
