I reuse rockwool cubes if the clones or seeds don't make it. I do resoak them with pH'd water in case that was part of the problem the first time.

I with THG, I reuse them when a clone or seedling failed. Rockwool needs a solid pH soak.

I don't get the PH soaking to obtain roots. Even starting a seed. I have not once pH'd a water source that has ranged from 6.8 to 8.1. I don't see why for that tiny amount of time until the roots start soaking up other medium that it would be needed?

I am with you on that bro...I have never, soaked my rock wool and it has not been a problem. I don't ph my water until I start feeding, and that goes for seedlings as well.

im still undecided on the phing or not when cloning/seedlings deal, but i always ph'd my rockwool. when the plants do finally get their first feeding, your ph will swing fast. this is what i've observed using 3" and 4" cubes. the starter cubes are much smaller so the effect might be insignificant.

They say using phd water is better for seedlings.. Or just natural water in the right zone. I've never phed rock wool, rooters or seedling mix before planting. When I did I did not notice ANY change.
