It's hard to get great pictures through my scope currently. My scope will not sync to my laptop. I get things in focus and then have to reach down and touch the screen to snap the picture. I have been reviewing my work and I have to make a couple corrections. First of all of the 5 plants it's 2 permanent markers, one with out a ton of smell and one that actually does reek like a big fat sharpie, 2 Chocolate Thai and One Blue Berry Pancakes. The Choc Thai and the BB Pancakes are from Carty. The ChTh both reek like bubblegum and the Blue Berry Pancakes reeks like a rank ass nasty dead skunk. I am not going as far as to say RKS but it is super darn close. There is still a lot that can go wrong and stuff that has currently wrong (has any one seen @zem - OR is anyone a hydro person?) I have gotten a lot of advice from my personal mentor guru GMO - even lately - but it seems he has just recently gone silent. I sure hope he is OK. Anyway, blurry pictures through the scope and about 3 to 4 weeks left. This is going to be one of my most powerful ones yet. And I should be able to post a decent pict for BOTY.

Picts coming shortly
I cut a tiny piece of calyx off and use this stand. Makes it easy to get a high magnification

I found just found the disk that came with the scope, I'm going to get my laptop and scope synced... hopefully, anyways - blurry trich picts. I will get better ones up, This has a lot of the multi color trich stuff, where it looks like its sucking up the purple and the reds into the trichs themselves. Give me a day or so, I will snap some better ones for ya's.

If you notice the music vids I post are generally live, I enjoy the little changes, F/ups and improvs that come with live music. One regret in life may be that I will never get to see Glen Frey live. I did finally get to see Frampton a few years back in St. Louis.
Imagine the mountains of ____Fill In The Blank___ these guys went through back in the day...

If you want try the standard windows camera app. I just use that

Something smells like weed. One Permanent Marker is done and ready to come out. The other 4 plants need 2 or 3 more weeks. Not as happy as I'd like to be with this one but everything turned out acceptable. I need to yank and re-drywall my room. Green/blue board it with the bathroom drywall stuff and paint it over... Then I might try a Gabagoo run again. I promised @Carty and ended up killing that first set of Gab seedlings from him. Might be an interesting experiment, auto flowers through the Hydro system. The Chocolate Thai and Blue Berry Pancakes he gave me look and smell totally awesome this run. Thai smells like juicy fruit gum sort of and the BBP smells like a nasty rotten skunk.

Pretty bud

Hi BM nice plants! What issues hydro related are you facing? I heard you have PM?. I do mostly ebb and flow and i limit the number of waterings and i let them dry at night. Let them sleep with dry feet. Monopotassium phosphate at 5g/L is good to battle it. I use silica in the medium too.

I was having what I could best describe as leaf rust. It was only on one plant. Once it finally got cold out I came to the conclusion that I do not need the chiller for the winter grow. Pretty sure I figured it out. I'm just waiting on a few more amber trichs and it's done. One is already about 30% and ready the other 4 need a little longer. That chiller is going to come in handy during the summer runs.

Cold temps never caused rusty leaves. It was a constant thing that happened and the issue vanished when i got the fertilizer mix dialed. Nutrient imbalance was the main cause. Beneficials like amino and humic acids seaweed and such are very good to help in the absorption of fertilizer and reduce the effects of any imbalance. Normally I go a couple of weeks before i change the res but my res is big to flood and drain the plants. In a relatively smaller hydro dwc tote, I would change it every week or add a second res to do RDWC. What do you use as PH down?

I have been running general hydroponics everything. up, down, grow, micro, bloom and a splash of floralicious. Our local water treatment guy knows whats up and claims there is more than enough Cal and Mag in the water supply, but I am not so sure after this run. I Know - the old more Cal/Mag thing. Plus for the longest time I never mixed solution to the full capacity of my res, always run about half to 3/4 strength depending on where I am at timewise in the grow. Change res every week to 10 days. Sometimes in early to mid veg maybe change every 14 days. I admit I have been a little lax. For the results I am chasing I shouldn't be. I have tried many different manufacturers over the years and always gravitate back to General Hydroponics. I think these next couple runs I am going to actually keep a notebook. I have some reconfiguring to do and plan on getting more detailed in my methodology, keeping notes to keep up. With my chiller there were no rapid PH swings like I was getting before I used it. My grow is in an outbuilding and this time of year for me is generally cold and very dry. As I re-do my grow area I will post up pictures bigtime. I battle the cold and dry in the winter here and extreme heat and humidity in the summer. I will keep you and everyone posted once I ramp back up. I'll get some pictures up of the rust before I cut, hopefully later today. It started and stayed with only one for almost the entire run until the very end here which made me consider an actual plant type disease. Thought it was possibly genetic but you'll see with the pictures, it ended up everywhere, but it is also the end of this run based on trichome color so it's time for leaf die-off etc. For a while I was feeling quite dialed in. You can smell my shed from about 50 feet away and eventually I am going to have to deal with that.
