bud to seed

does letting your bud go to seed really take away all that much potency? i have smoked bud with seeds and gotten along fine with it. of course, i removed the seeds before smoking, but the stone was excellent. i'm confused.

plants will devote allot of energy into seed production if given the chance. All that work with-in the plant could have been devoted to producing more buds, resin, thc, and general growth. Although theres lots of weed out there with seeds that get you high there's a reason people search for seedless other than the pain in the *** deseeding process - it's more potent. Try growing that weed with no males around and I bet you'll be impressed, especially if it works well with seeds. Good luck.

It is not just potency--it is yield. If your have seeded bud, expect 75%+ of your "bud" weight to be seeds, not smokeable bud.

what about hermies? will they do the same as males?

If by hermies you mean a female that develops pollen sacs, then yes, they self pollinate, it's the same result. It's almost impossible to stop seed production in a hermie unless you chop it as soon as you see sacs developing, and then you get immature bud ..
