broke my ph meter

i bought calibration solution and it caused an error code on my blu lab ph pen , it has me wondering if it not being blu lab solution caused the problem . any one have this problem with blu lab products

I wouldn't have thought the solution is the problem as that is what it is designed for doing.
Have you checked out the trouble shooting for your bluelab PH pen to see if it may be something else causing the error code.

Calibration fluid is just a liquid with a known pH that is used as a gauge to set your own meter. I really cannot see how using a different brand could cause problems.

I don't think it would either but the pens first error code came with its first contact with the new solution which made me think it's the solution. but I could be wrong
