why are post deleted?

hgb...the posts being spoken of were deleted from a personal grow journal, "at the request" of the journal owner. The journalist felt hijacked.
They were irrelevant to "HIS" journal, where he was documenting specific methods(lighting in particular).
The posts did contain some good lighting info, but were not relevant to "that" thread.
The post could have simply been moved to a new thread, but were mistakeingly/unwittingly removed.
Zarnon was offended. Steps were taken in an attempt to rectify the situation, it was explained to him and, an apology was extended.
