Day 34
This is my first time using an autopot, and I'm very pleased with the simplicity of adding nutrients just once a week—2 gallons at a time! There’s definitely a bit of a learning curve, which may have slowed growth slightly. However, these are all easy fixes for the next run. It’s still a bit early to evaluate results, but overall, not too shabby for 34 days! 🙂

After months of saving $20 a week, I finally upgraded my lighting! I'm excited to see how this new setup performs. It’s definitely a tight fit in the 4x4 and a bit overkill, but it’s pretty awesome nonetheless. I aimed for a dimmable 650W light and now it’s time to see if it makes a difference. One thing I’m really learning about growing is how much I enjoy the process itself. Happy growing, everyone!

Day 37 Update

- EC: 2.5
- pH: 5.9
- VPD: 1.2
- PPFD: Approximately 525
- Light Duration: 24/0
- Growing Medium: 100% coco in a 3-gallon fabric pot
- System: Autopot with air dome

Things are starting to get a little wild! I've gone through two gallons of nutrients in less than two days. If this keeps up, I might need to start preparing 5-gallon batches!

Update: day 41. Probably about half way there. The stretch has slowed down so it’s almost time for some defoliation. They are drinking close to 2 gallons every 36 hours. Which is crazy and made me realize I may have been under feeding my plants the whole time. But hey, “when ya know better. Do better” and this round definitely feels like I’m doing better.

I'd say your kicking ass....they look great. And yeah things go better when we just get outta the way and let the plants do their thing..lol but ya still gotta provide for them.

I like watching these auto pot grows. Not interested at all in using one but hey it grows some danky stanky weed so it's all good to me.

I'd love to use them, but i already have earthboxes and the ac infinity self watering bases. The only real benefit is see to the automotive is a water res. I can see myself investing in something like this eventually but for now I will just keep hand filling my earthboxes and ac infinity bases. I am very intrigued by the build a soil tray to grow... I might get one of these next year for my 2x4 tent.

I am probably going to get one of the auto pot tray to grow kits from build a soil for next year's indoor grow. I like the idea of running a larger "bed" of soil. 28 gallons vs a 3-5 gallon pot. I also like the idea of not needing to open my tent every day to water.

Absolutely! I have the AC Infinity self-watering base, and it performed really well for me. Auto pot just gave me a way to simplify the process even further by only filling one reservoir every few days instead of managing multiple ones, so I wanted to give that a try. So far I’m pleased.

I've also come across some impressive grow journals using Build a Soil. I’m definitely interested in trying it down the road, as it seems like they have a great system for simplifying organic growing.

I am weighing my options for the next year or 2. I think next year my 2x4 tent is going to be running a build a soil tray to grow bed probably with 1 or 2 photo plants. And eventually the 2.5x5 will have auto pots of some kind in there. I'm not buying the auto pots until I've got some use out of the ac infinity bases first. On a side note, I am using coco chips as a mulch in my fabric pots right now and it seems to be working really well. It is keeping the soil surface moist.

Nice

Thats gonna be a fun grow to watch, can’t wait. Organics have always interested me and I wind up going down the rabbit hole of what’s right and what’s wrong and having to buy 100 different things. With build a soils all in one I can totally see myself going for it this year.

I like living soils too but I am going yo try inground this sumner. I gave away the greenhouse we weren't using. It was tiny would be good for like succulents or lettuce. Things that start and stay small. Strawberries would grow good there. Anyway it was taking up space I wanted to use but couldn't, until now. I may not gave it ready until round 2 starts because I want to amend the soil with some gypsum at leadt. The ground there has been covered since before we moved here in 2007. No weeds or anything else depleting the soil. It should be good but it’s not really soil so Im a little worried. May just try a few to see how it goes before I plant sll 12 in ground. Man 12-8 ft trees would be a very nice harvest. Especially if it was a Jamaican strain I have 3 I am running, Thanks to @Carty I also have Jamaican pollen I can pollinate the girls inside then take them outside when the time comes. Or I can be an ass as pollinate the country side. Jamaican strain mmmm 👀👀
