I am looking at this light on E-Bay:

Does anyone know anything about these T5 flouros and what makes them different from other flouros and CFLs?
I am wanting to turn a big old chest freezer (60x24x22) into a vegging place. I see controlling heat as a major concern. If I can use flouros instead of HIDs (for vegging only), it would really help with the heat in that small a space.

I am moving my grow to an entirely different space with way different growing environments than what I am using now, so I will have plenty of questions.

Thanks

First off, T5's are the best thing that has hit my grow room... Well one of the best  . Their lumen output is highest for fluoro tubes. They distribute the light fairly evenly over the canopy. Heat is still going to be vented from the chest though. They do produce a good deal of heat. The Fluoro fixture I have. Along with New Wave fixtures. HTG's are cheaper and the bulbs run cooler due to the positioning of the ballasts. I would recommend going to their website and buying two 4' fixtures becuase they are only $280 I believe. Great deal! GL, and i think you should definitely go for it.

Check out my grow journal in the journal section to see T5s in action... Titled as DLtoker's room... Or something like that;)
