ok, so im gonna use cfl's instead of HID lights for cost reasons alone. but heres what im planning, for veg, im gonna use 4 -42watt cfls bulbs, then for bloom im thinking the switch back down to something around the 26watt or the next one down. can't remember the number.

i was wondering if that sounds right. or what is right.

Imo, you should have more lumens or watts during flowering than veg.

i think where you might have got confused is 6500K, 5000K and 2700K.
When you see numbers like this it is stating the "kelvin temp" of the bulb...the spectrum.

For veg. you want to use 6500K/5000k which is daylite or cool white flos.
These focus more on the "blue" spectrum which replicates summer months.
For Flower 2700K range. This is soft white. which is the more "yellow" spectrum which replicates fall months. (read up on PAR "Photosynthetically Active Radiation" if curious on spectrum )

Try to hold to the 5000 lumens per sq.ft. some say 3000 is minimum. thats fine for veg. but when you get into flower you want to pack that light on the best you can. ;)
