as title says. i just bought two 600 watt hps grow lights with bat wing reflectors and i'm havin a heck of a time coming up with a homemade cool tube that fits and will work with the bat wing reflector still attached.if anybody has some tips or blueprints on a cool tube that'll work for me.would you please share the knowledge. (if so, thanks alot!)

does anybody have anything for me? if there was ever a time i needed your help most..now would be it.i cant stop my room from shootin up to 100 degrees..and thats just w/ one 600 watt light goin.is it best to have the fan behind thesocket,or can i have it hooked up to the hurricane so its pullin the air to through theduct and out my window.i need to get this taken
care of today.please help! i'm goin crazy over here.i have 2 fans goin over the tops of my plants so theyre not drying out or getting fried, but 100 degrees is too hot..almost too hot to even go into the room with out bein in just my boxers =) im afraid im gonna stress the plants into hermyin on me.there has to be someone in here with some suggestions for me,if so,please help. thanks again my friends-peace

.."I" would place your fan on the exhaust side, sucking cool air through, rather than pushing.. ;)

do you think this would work?

.yes, if you aren't concerned with escaping odor. But with that configuration, you're 'venting the grow'. Without doubt, it would cool better and be more efficient, if your "intake" were connected to or accessed a fresh, cool air source.
THEN.. if sealed properly, the air being extracted, and vented out the window, has never touched the grow area, and doesn't need 'filtered' for odor.

well i dont have the option of drawing air from another room, but if needed,i could drawin air from the outdoors, but is it even gonna be all that cool on a 90 degree day.the room is in my upstairs so the window is 20 ft up in the air
how do i connect the ducting or something else to the back edge of that metal peice on the reflector that holds the socket on.is there a duct tape or anything like it that will stick good and still beable to handle the heat.as far as scent im thinking about just putting a bunch of fabric softener sheets at the end of the duct, and i'll just change em out with new sheets every week or somethin. (thanks for any further help i can get on this)

thanks,i just got back from homedepot and my local hydroponic shop.i ended
up pickin up some foil tape.i'm just gonna use foil tape and a 5 inch duct cap to seal the hurricane up,on the socket end) ill draw up a pic on paint later and show you how im gonna go about doin it.time will tell how
efficient it is,but i think it should do the trick. Thanks again-peace
