First time grower here. I'm trying to grow outdoors but I've heard from others that it's too late into the year (mid July - early August) to start growing outdoors.

I've been looking at Dr. Chronics and I've seen that some outdoor strains can be harvested during mid september/october. So, if I start now, I can harvest during that time right?

Sorry if these questions seem noobie-ish. Thanks in advance for the input!!!

great question my friend and welcome...just wanted to say welcome and glad you will be able to get your answers..Good luck 2U

you wont get much off of the late started ladies but it will be fun and a learning experience... cant beat that!

yeah i started a late grow...and a week ago i figured i'd put out a few more beans for the heck of it...Can't guarantee anything really, but you'll come out with some experience at least

if you order seeds i doubt you'll have time. but if you have some bagseeds it wouldn't hurt to have a few going to learn on. jmo

Ok. So the general consensus is that I might get at least a little off of the ladies but not as much if I started earlier. I'll do it anyway and get some learning experience. If it goes well...the better. If not...at least I learned what not to do.

Wish me luck!

:cool2: good luck

my main crop is from seed, but i did get a few clones recently to put outside that i thought would be a joke. turns out they are loving there new home and are taking off big time!

i would say if your going to crack some beans it might be a lil late (still should do it).. but if you can get your hands on a few clones that might be a tad bit better because they will be already somewhat developed.

GL keep us posted

it depends where you are at, I live in NC amongs of spefic of 15 friends of mine around NC north, west, east, south central of NC, we all grow all year round but If you feel cold, then need 400 hps and nice setups, that will fill your head in if you live in nc, sc, and south from there you are fine, should works in south calf, az, nev, and texas? cuz of heat current hope i helps.

A small harvest is better than no harvest, I wouldnt spend money on seeds for this late grow, try your hand at some bagseed that away if nothin' happens you wont be out, plus if you order seeds now, it will be even later to get going.

thats my $0.02's worth
best of luck

All good advice. I have seen a crop get harvested in september and some seeds fell from the plants and they sprouted and got about the size of louder around ten inches and made some small buds before the cold got them. Something else. Let them do what ever they can. Don`t do any topping or lst. Just let them grow a straight shoot. Also because they won`t get very tall you have more choices on where you can plant them. You can plant them in a lot more open area than plants that are going to get 6 feet tall. Also plant them where they get almost all day sunlight on them. Most areas aren`t going too be as moist in the middle of the summer like it is in april. You may have to water them a lot more often. I hope this helped. Slim
