Tell her the main waste line broke last week and you are still trying to get rid of the skunky smell. True story it happened to me and we did not known it until the smell traveled up through the floor,
But as Bub say Ozium is the best I use to buy 1/2 gallons and put in in open throw away trays. I can not seem to find the large size gels anymore.
Now I just tell em yep its weed you smell.

Go with Northern Lights next grow, I'm in week 5 of flower, no smell at all yet. (If your after less smell)...

Week 6 is where NL starts to smell, but its a sweet honey suckle (honey) smell.... its not a clearly skunky weed smell like others.

I'd love to grow some DIesel or cookies strains (I love OG strains too) but am afraid of the smell.

Invest in some incense.... sandalwood is great for covering smells ! My family thinks I'm meditating,,,,,

Where are you venting to? Maybe the attic right above the guest room? What the heck is that smell? Does anyone else smell it? That would be my mom too
