I have a "Granddaddy purple" who's trichomes are changing straight over from CLEAR to AMBER leaving out the Cloudy tric's that I'm going for. She' a little early but I don't want to miss the window for that wonderful HEAD HIGH. Should I wait? I DO NOT want body high with this plant. Sometimes plants will try and trick you. My widow of opportunity is closing fast. I'm cutting Tues. Morin' if I don't hear differently. Thanks.

That is weird Fum, I have never seen that. Have you checked all over the plant? I bet you have. What % amber?

How long has it been in 12/12? What are you using to check the trichs?

I recommend taking a small test bud and seeing how she smokes. I also like that up sativa high.

Well no more worry folks, we fell her early this morrin'. Now my dilemma is (i feel kind of foolish asking this) How to dry this plant without getting bud rot. This "GRANDDADDY PURPLE' has the tightest and dense buds/flowers that I have ever come across. Usually I able to pull the buds away from stem and or open them to air some, but that's not going to happen with GRANDDADDY. I'm gonna start looking for another process of drying. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hang it with fan in the room, not blowing on it but around it.
Good luck.

That's what I'm doing to most of the buds (hang with the fan(s).) Rosebud. I also hung a screen with some string and placing nug's on that to dry. I had one bigger bud earlier that got a little bud rot. That's what has me a little worried about these beautiful big tight buds of "Grand Daddy Purple". I'd hate to lose anything of this plant. Well thank you all for your input, You guys are the bomb. MP is a great site and I send all my ppl this way. Green Blessings.

Get more fans going in there sounds like to me. Your in much more humidity then I am. I find my hanging does better then the screens..but they don't get the air circulation like hanging, maybe yours does since you hung it.( how many times can a loaded rosebud type hang) Best wishes for not one minuscule mini mold spore to land on your GDP

The only reason that I'm using screen is the fact that i can't tie a string around the smaller nuggets. Otherwise I'd be hanging everything for sure. I haven't even tried GD yet, just read all the info. Like first all around and $65.00 a 1/8gr. If it's all that good it's may be my special stash. That and my "Orange Velvet". How sweet it is. Thank you everyone for your help here. Now only time will tell. I'll be watching GD like a hawk.
