How she looking?

DSC05607.JPG

looks good what are the detail of your grow and strain?

They look pretty good and that sounds like a great strain. Where did you get the seeds?

long story short this is my first grow and i happen to come across some seeds my sealer had and he said they came from herms.. and were garenteed fems dont know if thats possble but here she "hopfully" is

They are called feminized seeds. And they do come from hermies so any stress at all will bring out that hermie trait, which is very bad. Not to rain on your parade but it is a bad a idea for a first time grower to use feminized seeds.

What is your setup. lights, nutes, soil or hydro, Growing space, etc?

Hello Kingbuds102-

Only time will tell. Your plant looks wonderful. Tell us about your set-up.

Happy Growing!

right now i only have 2 4 foot 40 w fluros on it totaling 6900 lums 24/7 not much of a space set up yet i just enclosed a little area out or a bed room with 10 ft ceilings and 8 X 15 i am using soil mixed by myself intill what i thought to be a good consinstincy with MG mix vemericulite perlite and spag moss my ph is 6.5 any other questions??

maineharvest iam from the 207 as well

Note* i just read the cheifs fists grow journal and i see myself in the same boat.. thanks guys!

My opinion would be to keep those lights as close as possible, but I don't grow with cfl's. I've read that they quickly lose efficacy over a short distance and don't have much penetration. But many successful growers use them with great results.

Also, try to box in the plant a bit. You could use cardboard spray painted flat white. It will help with reflectivity and help you maximize those lumens.

I used MG soil through several grows and always thought it was great, in spite of what many people on this forum said. Well, my recent grow turned into a disaster- major nute burn that I couldn't recover from. I ended up throwing out all my plants except one that I took 10 clones from- they're doing great, but I added a few weeks to my harvest date. So, be careful with the MG soil.

Happy Growing!

Ive seen a lot of varied results with MG soil. I have used it once or twice for vegging lately and I loved it. But I see a lot of people burn their plants too. I prefer Pro mix myself.

Go Patriots!!

Hey guys just checkin in with the month update.. they are looking great and the smaller of the two is really recovering well. only problem so far is some brown spots, on the leafs on the 1st tier one worse than the other i am thinking MG deficiency? i don't know but i haven't seen it any where else yet.. besides that i have just been watering every 68 hrs or whenever i think it needs it .. ph 6.5 and this week i have slowly introduced a 10-15-10 plant food using a 1/4 of required drops.. lighting has slightly changed with the addition of the 2 150w cfls 3200 lums each 1 week ago. 4 days ago i started a 18 / 6 schedule thank you all!!

Hey Kingbuds102-

A little small for 4 weeks, but otherwise looking good- probably due to lights. Be real careful with the nutes in mg soil- that may be a little burn you're seeing. Smart move using 1/4 strength though.

I usually switch to 18/6 at 4 weeks and they usually show preflowers at 6 weeks.

Is Widowberry a white widow/blueberry cross? Definitely looks indica dominant.

Keep it green ya' Mainer!

You’re doing great kingbuds! :) Seems like your setting a bright future for your new investment.

As for the brown spots, IMO, it could be a MG deficiency or a K (Potassium) deficiency.

I don’t think its nute burn unless there were nutrients in the soil previously. But honestly it is really

hard with the pictures given; maybe some close ups of the problem areas would help. BTW, have you checked your pH runoff?

Thank You Trust i have not yet checked my ph runoff but will do so now..
this is a MG grow so the nute burn is a very high possibility i am trying to give the link to the history of these baby's so you can see what i have been doing i dont know if you can see a history of my posts but this is my first grow.

by the way the brown spot is on the lower set on the left i was thinking MG diff. due to the leaf turning upward?

and is it normal for the stem to be purplish like it is??

*Note* just checked the runoff and its 6.6

I’m leaning towards Magnesium (Mg) deficiency based on the yellowing, browning, and positioning on the leaf.

If the leaves cure up it’s a classic sign as well. 1 tablespoon Epsom salts to 1 gallon of water will resolve the problem.

edit: Its normal for the stem to have a purple tint :D

Hey kingbuds102-

The only browning I see is minimal on an older fan leaf. No disrespect Trust, but there's usually some yellowing before you get brown spots with a magnesium deficiency. And I don't see the classic leaf curl either. But, I can't zoom in on the pics and my eyes aren't what they used to be  so maybe I'm missing it.

Miraclegro soil is loaded with nutes- and I noticed in one pic you're also feeding them some Shultz fertilizer. Again, from where I'm sitting, plants look good.

Happy Growing!

Its cool BBFan,

The only reason why I seemed sure about it is because my first grow was similar by using MG soil. (I know  )

This being said I had the same problem as this gentleman has, that and Hardwater.

The solution was really simple with the epsom salt

I see were your coming from BBFan with over nute, we are all here from one thing

To help each other grow the dankests of the dank anyway we can. :D
