My bubblegum plants have been in flower for a little over a month now.
This is only my second grow. my first was a failure due to the fact that I left my plant in the care of someone while I was away for a week and she left it in intense heat for two days, at least. I have disposed of that first grow and have since been on my second grow. I have extensively changed my grow area from my initial grow. I am using a 4x4x6.5' tent with a 6" carbon filter, fan and ducting. The two bubblegum plants are under a 400w HPS inside a cooltube which the fan blows cool exhaust air through on its way out of the tent. Because of this i am able to keep the light within inches of the plants. I am using General Hydroponics nutes. Micro, Gro, and Bloom mixtures. Please take a look and let me know what you think. any advice or Questions are welcome.

Thank you!

Looking nice BrascoBuds :aok:

thanks Duck!
I was given some used coffee grinds and while I know many plants would benefit from adding it to the soil, I'm not sure about my Bubblegum plants. Anyone have an idea? Also, would it best be used during vegging or flowering?

I wouldn't put coffee grounds on the plants....... very acidic.......... and I've never read where the geat growers here have/are using coffee grounds...... if it helped believe me these folks on here would be using them.

nice looking buds.

I will soon be purchasing another batch of seeds so I am open to suggestions from experienced growers. I'm leaning toward AK-47 from Serious seeds. Also thinking maybe white Widow. I purchased my Bubblegum from Nirvana but have since heard Serious seeds has better Pheno types. What do you people suggest?:hubba:

lots of good seeds out there....... I grew an AK/Blueberry cross a couple years ago by joey weed........ very nice smoke big rock hard buds....... you have to decide how you like your high to be and choose one that suites your growing style and conditions.......... many good growers here like Larry OG and Satori........ I'm growing The Ulimate by Dutch Passion right now........ very easy to deal with in an indoor closet grow.

It is getting pretty hot where I live. 95+ and my tent is getting hotter than I would like. Even with my exhaust system. I am thinking of changing my light cycle to be on through the night instead of during the day. My question is: if I leave my flowering plant in the dark for 24 hours straight in order to switch my light cycle to night. Will it cause issues to my plant final yeild? Is it worth the risk given the alternative is excessive heat if the light continues to go on during the day?

No...leave in dark then switch light on at night.

Yes

I am very partial to Satori. It is an up energetic type high. I personally don't much like White Widow--I find the white strains harsh.

I never feed coffee grounds directly to plants, but they can be put into compost bins and fed to worms to eventually be compost and/or worm castings.

When you switch lighting, keep the plant in dark for 24 hours and then switch it. It won't hurt them at all. I have gotten to where I run my flowering lights at night all the time.

Your plants look great, but you could benefit from more light. You want to try and have a minimum of 3000 lumens per sq ft for vegging and 5000 lumens per sq ft for flowering. A 400W is good for a 3 x 3 tent, a 600W for a 4 x 4 tent.

Is it a boy? Doesn't look female to me but maybe just pre-mature.
Any idea folks? ;)

Here's an updated look at my bubblegum. Anyone care to guess how far from harvest I am? I'm thinking 3 weeks...

I feel as though my plants are very small for Bubblelicious. Must be very much Indica dominant. Is this normal for Bubblelicious?

love the bottom solo pic that plant is killa

Ahhh, what great looking buds. You did an excellent job for your first one. Since this is your first harvest, you may want to go ahead and harvest it with a 10/80/10 mix on the trichs and see how you like it. Everyone has their own tastes. Some like a little more clear, some like a little more amber. You are right in the middle now. It would probably be a good time to take her unless you are looking for more couch-lock effect, in which case you may want a bit more amber. Or you could take part of her now and let some go a little longer. I definitely believe that she is ready.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment and offer advice to me during this first successful grow. A very special thanks to The Hemp Goddess for all her wonderful advice and incredible wealth of experience and knowledge! I will post some cut and drying/curing pics soon as a final update . I hope to continue to communicate in new threads. Everyone take it easy for now...:D
